The issues at UW are larger than just the coach or AD. We can change the coach and have some success. But the truth is that the culture among the UW elites is not one where a long term successful football program can exist.
In fact, this is the problem with the PAC overall and why you are seeing year upon year of PAC futility. The progressive aristocrats that operate the levers of power care more deeply about being accepted by their progressive peers than they do anything else. If they could cut football, add a few more olympic sports and still keep the $$ rolling in they would do it in a heartbeat. And this holds true for most of their PAC peers.
When football is considered a necessary evil instead of something to be proud of, the culture for long term success can't exist. Jimmy is someone that UW can be proud of among their peers, and that matters so much more to them than any amount of winning.

This program went to the playoffs recently.
Yes. Finishing #4 in the country 5 years ago is clear evidence that the university is fully behind building a long term success.
Allowing the glorious 0-12 by giving TW his extra year is not evidence. Turner as AD is not evidence. Hiring a green coach like Sark is not evidence. Keeping Sark when you knew he was boozing on recruiting trips us not evidence. Hiring a green coach like Lake is not evidence. Ignoring the complete dumpster fire that exists in every facet of the football program is not evidence. Stating the thing you are most worried about is the kids feelings is not evidence.
The UW did 1 good thing over the last few decades and that was hiring Petersen and that got them a few quality seasons. But Petersen was selected for his demeanor and reputation more than his ability to win. This is of much more value to the PAC and UW than any number of wins.

The point is it CAN be done. UW for all of it's warts still has more than enough built in advantages to not be a bottom feeder. It should be squarely in the top of the conference every year because of those inherent advantages. Otherwise, peapatch this shit and be done.
