As far as hail merries go you might as well start the freshman against the weakest opponent on the schedule before he gets absolutely brutalized in conference play. And maybe, by some sliver of a chance, he's a revelation and is the spark the offense needs. Assuming John Don is canned of course.

Of course it has a less than 1% chance of actually working, but if you're Jimmy it's certainly better than the current course you're one.

Agree, total desperation. I would not start the kid, but Jimmy is putting him out there to save his own skin. The normal move would be letting Huard play the 4th quarter of a 40 point blowout, but we all know UW isn't putting up 40 or blowing anybody out.
