Probably the first time PGOS has ever been right about something.
These are college kids. They don't get up for FCS games and often the FCS teams are just as good as lower level FBS teams so its stupid to schedule them. Six FCS teams won vs. FBS teams last weekend. UW was a smaller favorite vs. Montana than UO was vs. Fresno State.
2007 Michigan, after being shocked by Appy State and crushed by Oregon, then rolled off eight wins in a row. 2010 Virginia Tech, after falling to James Madison to start the season 0-2, won 11 games in a row to win the ACC.
All that to say these aren't professional athletes they can come out hungover and unmotivated one weekend and then hungry and aggressive the next.
Lots of overreactions to one game- UW could easily beat Michigan this weekend.
They are probably still a terribly coached and managed team but the season isn't over.
Michigan and VT at least were able to put up over 200 rushing yards against when they lost to their FCS opponents. We put up 65 against Montana. What makes our loss to Montana special is how badly their defense dominated our offense especially in the run game. I would be slightly more optimistic if we had lost in a shoot out instead of a defensive manhandle.
Why? I'm not clear on why a close low-scoring game is a worse loss than a close high-scoring game.

This is a good point. UW has had close games with Eastern and they are high scoring affairs. The offense scores enough because D1 schools, especially power 5 should score at will even when they don’t care because of the talent discrepancy. It’s usually an uninterested defense that takes it on the chin when they are up against a revved up, smaller but game opponent. UW’s offense was handled completely. That should never happen in these big v little crossover abortions.
This is some narrative bullshit. The easiest way to make a big change from week to week is improved QB play. Morris doesn't throw three INTs this week we are right in it.
Dropped 3 bones on some retro home field gear. Received it on Monday. Threw it to the top of the closet. Too embarrassed to wear that shit in central TexASS. We’ll see how this weekend goes… going to LIPO.
I said I was t buying any new UW hear a while ago and that I would buy a new t shirt until I was getting rid of 2 old ones.
81% of my current UW gear landed in the attic today.

- The offense under this "OC", if you wanna call him that, is an unmitigated disaster and seems to be regressing by the day - Defense will be gassed due to the offense not moving the ball - 1st road game for Lake, the QB, and this 2021 team in general, in the Big House - Meechigan>UW for roster, coaching, and home field
Considering we don't have a strong kicker, sure feels like a shutout is in play. Last time that happened... 2010 when the Harbaugh led Cardinal buttfucked us in our own front yard to the tune of 0-41.

If we beat Michigan I am going to laugh hysterically, and might, MIGHT adjust the season back to LIPO.
I said before the year we need to beat Michigan or Jimmy is not the guy.
No one foresaw the meltdown that was the Montana game. But if we end Harbaugh's Michigan career after losing to Montana at home, that is some seriously funny shit.
I do think the team is going to come out chippy and pissed and it will be an interesting game.
If we lose, fire Jimmy on the tarmac. If we win, win the north and get plungered by an undefeated Chip in the title game.
Yes, I am desperately looking for silver linings. I at least want to get some entertainment out of the season.
For PGOS, beat Michigan. Nothing else matters. Sorta. Fuck off.
Harbaugh is done regardless ... he's playing out his contract before they go after Matt Campbell after this season
Sure we'll probably come out with sound and fury but it will be fake toughness and that will fade as the game goes on ... I'd be more excited if I saw that fake lawnmowers
Probably the first time PGOS has ever been right about something.

What makes the loss to Montana pathetic is that the offensive stats against Montana almost entirely mirrored the offensive stats against Miami in 2001 ... a team on the short list of the best team of all time. Pretty sure Montana isn't going to be on that list. Also important to remember that that UW team was probably an above average team at best and you could start seeing the cracks in the armor that turned into 2002 and beyond ...
But let's keep hoping and praying that Jimmy can turn shit around (he won't)

Well good news if Harbaugh gets fired. UW will have 1 candidate for the open football job at the end of the years

Impressive win by 6 over a FCS team by Campbell last Saturday. Last year was a great year for Iowa State and I think he’s a solid coach, but you seem to think he’s a future great. I don’t think he will be.

What’s he has done at Iowa State is top notch
Matt Campbell is 3-3 in season openers: -2020 Louisiana (L) -2019 Northwen Iowa (W in 3 OT) -2018 Iowa (L) -2017 Northern Iowa (W) -2016 Northern Iowa (L)
He is also 0-4 against Iowa. So if that is really his strategy it’s not working out great.
UW tried to go vanilla too actually…didn’t work out so well either.
Anyway I’m as sure as ever that JonDon sucks but we aren’t going to see the same playbook or game plan next week.

Winner at small time San Diego d1aa
Winner at Stanford
Winner at 49ers
Only head scratcher is Michi.
Not my first option, don't twist, but he would win the North at UW rather easily.
