I would have also chosen '19 to present. It's not even depressing... just frustrating that dumbasses in charge are content with mediocrity at best.
LamboFS
Then again after the 1963 season, another Rose Bowl.
I was left behind when the folks went to the Wisconsin Rose Bowl and spent my youth upset that we? weren't within 100 miles of getting back there.
It would be like if you were 5 years old in 1990. Three straight Rose Bowls and a natty.
93-98 was second. Ty was the cure. In 08 Saban went 12-0 in his second year while we did Owen. From then on I've just enjoyed Saturdays. I love the game, hate the players
The mid 90s were pretty frustrating no doubt, but I was pre-occupied with row boat and trying to dole out some honest poundings. Plus as bad as the Lambo era was, The Dawgs were still the top game in town and Husky stadium was usually packed and rocking.
'02 to '15 was horrific, but I didn't lurk or post much on the internet, so it was I missed the Half Brain wars entirely.
For me, the choice is obvious. The highs of 2016 + the internet are a toxic fucking stew.
How could the good times not roll on forever?
Now I'm old and boring and married with children. I need this to not suck.
I should add to that I didn't completely hate Seattle during most of the 2002- 15 downturn.
God smiting the Dawgs during the 2019 Cal game and CHOP/CHAZ in the 2020 really fucked with my psyche.
The downfall of Husky football honestly made me a less competitive person. I used to be the asshole you didn’t want to play video games or pickup basketball with because I hated losing so much. That is no longer the case. Some might argue that I finally grew up but deep down I know that it is actually Todd Turner’s fault.
I'm glad I didn't do college football message boreds back then. Probably added a few years to my life span.
Had we? won the playoffs (lol) in 2016 most of the younger pups and even myself would have taken the last few years a lot better.
91 was a culmination for me. I wanted it every year like any fan but "the past is for doogs" has some truth to it. I had the VCR tapes of the glory days. Keep meaning to get them digitized but whatever
I've seen Washington at their very best. I accept nothing less but the older you get the less it is life and death
In 91 I would have crawled over broken glass with 7 booster shots and 10 masks on to see our DAWGS play
'93-'98 was the most infuriating, maddening, and later depressing. At least then you had some great players and great performances.
'19-Present takes the cake for me, because we've been here before, so it's like PTSD. To me it looks like the kids and coaches just suck right now.
Also, UW has now totally failed to capitalize on a window where USC, UCLA, and Oregon were terrible programs.
I'm on my third tour in Nam and not sure I want to return to the States.
Sad bus ride home after Nevada loss
2010 41-0 Stanford home loss
2010 56-21 Nebraska home loss
I’ve preseason doog’d every year since 2014 and most range from mildly disappointing to being a disaster. 2016 was fun.
