Just turn college football into a farm system and be done with it already. They keep going down this path the cheating will be epicwon't be cheating anymore.
I had some deep thoughts while driving around today
Rex Chapman said that when he was being recruited some school offered his dad 500 grand. Like 30 years ago. Rex says it wasn't Kentucky but whatever. Can a NIL kid make that kind of scratch without getting killed by the very social media warriors he wants to get paid by?
Price has probably gone up anyway on the under the table market
Cowherd was saying this is great for the Pac 12 because tech and markets and look out SEC
If Bama can't compete on NIL does anyone think they won't still pay a million to the family for a 5 star? And get away with it?
I'm not wasting time worried about this because at my age no one actually gives a fuck what I think or what I watch. Whatever. Might be interesting might not be

If Cowherd says that it will help the Pac-12 it means the conference is fucked.
If SEC schools/boosters were able to funnel money and stuff under the table so much more effectively before then why wouldn’t they succeed now? My only idea is that if Diabetty’s Sweet Tea sponsors Auburn QB Bo Fivepix then Bama fans won’t buy or shoplift it at the Dollar General anymore. But if Joe of Toothless Joe’s Dentures has fuck you money or cares to It Just Means More levels then all bets are off.
When I get bored enough I’ll go through a few state bills and interpret the legal wingdings.
I’m somewhat interested in which companies will think college athletes are worth the investment. Hot chicks have the most followers on social media, easy to monetize. One and done basketball players will be a big ticket. A Spencer Rattler or a Kayvon Thibodeaux that is one year from the NFL is worth it, but that’s a handful of guys each year.
We know who JTT is, but 99% of people will wonder what the fuck happened to him to grow a foot and a half to become a large Samoan boy. My best friend didn’t know who Damian Lillard is. His fiancée went to Washington, just finished medical school a year ago - she can’t name a single UW football player outside of Gardner Minshew.
Even NFL players other than QBs and superstars don’t get that many endorsements. The casual fan wouldn’t recognize most of their NFL team’s players on the street without their helmet and uniform.
This is going to be interesting.
NOC: I have enjoyed Ohio State fans squirming at Nike. Some are convinced that Phil Knight will throw his billfold around. Others keep saying that Nike wouldn’t piss off Ohio State with how much money they make them. Not realizing that they’re under contract through 2033, and $17 million/year is an accounting error for a company with a $250 billion market cap. All of which is moot since the old man is retired and has an incomprehensible amount of money without the company doing anything. If he did want Nike involved then Nike will do it, he owns 97% of class A stock and gets to pick 9/12 board members.

Further improvement could be fatal
Yet to be heard from are those who aren't worth anything
With that in mind, my write in is for Odunze.
With respect.
