Boomer superiority thread is amusing. I paid my college living expenses on a low wage job too. 'Cuz one could.
I did it because I had to. Long after the boomers.
You had it harder.
My generation was very lucky.
And as we know, everyone has to go to college, and the higher costs of college today explains why Asians have higher credit ratings than white people. God damn white racism!!!
I see the usual suspects are weighing in to say that their good fortune at having come of age at the most favorable time in the history of the past three centuries, at least for those making their way without inherited wealth, illustrates their strong character.
Not bashing strong character or good fortune. Don't twist.
Just pure luck that capitalism, liberty and the protection of private property just happened to occur in America. You would think that high character individuals would continue to support that. Not bashing your strong character, just saying.
I support all of the above. But they introduce competing interests. Anarcho-capitalists like you and Damone will destroy capitalism.

You just vote for folks who want to destroy it
The dazzler always votes for the more responsible fiscal alternative. Just ask him. I pity his clients.

So you are saying that black Americans had it easy too during that time? Now, now HH, you can't have it both ways.

You're avoiding the point--no surprise. You got a college degree for a few hundred bucks a year. It put you in a position to earn more, and that education was heavily subsidized by those who earned less.
Our generation also benefitted from coming of age in a high growth era in which inherited wealth was not as significant to material success as it had been throughout most of the industrial age. At present, inherited wealth is moving back in the direction of greater significance, the position it has typically held.

Lol West Linn. I sometimes venture to the Burgerville there when I feel like slumming it up.
I lived on the river there when that Burgerville was first opened. It was great. That house is easily worth $3-5 million now; that area and Dunthorpe is hardly slumming it.
WTF....There is nothing near that Burgerville restaurant that is three or 5 million. Those are the goddamn slums
You fucking assholes don’t know anything about West Linn and need to shut the fuck up
Dunthorpe is nowhere near West Linn.
Bonnie-Linn.....small hamburger joint that Burgerville sits on now. You fucking wannabes know nothing about it.
HuskyJW always right
What, a couple miles down 43? That entire stretch of river front property is extremely expensive. Below the old Marylhurst, on River Road there are several properties with land which are easily in that range. Our house had an 80 foot dock where the river is 100 feet deep. Sea planes and Yachts docked there routinely, 5000+ sqft with a creek running through it. You have no fucking clue what you're talking about.
East of Burgerville is the Willamette River and River Road. Very expensive.
But according to "He's Never Right" JW, the river front property from LO to WL is full of dumps. He has no fucking clue because he has no wealthy friends and he's never been invited into any of these multi-million dollar homes. I loved that BV by the way! My parents should have never sold the home. The owner of the largest yacht company in the Portland/Vancouver area bought it from them. Should have just given it to me;-)

And none of this is to say you didn't work hard.
You mean the "point" you're so desperately trying to change the topic to?
Kobe's claim is that credit scores are racist. Why don't you trying sticking to the point.
And why is it that these "racist" credit scores don't affect Asians?
