Well, assuming a 100 sq ft for a 1 kilowatt system, then a 1500 sq foot home isn't going to have a very large southern facing roof print. A 3 ton air conditioning unit alone is going to draw around 2 kilowatts (average efficiency). So, your going to be able to run your AC, refrigerator and some lights at high noon in June on a sunny day in the Willamette Valley for say three hours. In the Willamette Valley you are generating very low to zero energy in the morning and evening and none from dusk to dawn. Also low production on cloudy days. It's just a green scam largely paid for by the government and your utility.
