There's only one side responsible for this. You simply do not see this behavior outside of the team blue cities. People get what they vote for. True - but it's also cultural/regional. Have been in the south the past year in a couple blue toeholds and they don't have this shit. They're still just mostly corrupt old school Democrats but nobody is going to get in your face for not wearing a mask or enjoying a meal at an outside table. Combine the more sane southern group with incoming west coast (and northeast) progressive dipshits and you have a recipe for disaster in the remaining free states. Texas is probably safe for now, same probably goes for Idaho, South Dakota, et al, but Florida damn near got stuck with this guy in 2018.
In a just world anyone in Florida who even considered voting for Gillum should lose their voting privileges for 2 election cycles. Talk about dodging a built. Florida would have been a lock down basket case with their schools still closed and the economy in shambles just like New York and California if he'd won the election. Pretty much all of them. My favorite because I’m a nostalgia guy is the Old Mallory Hotel which is now the Hotel Deluxe. This is where the 49ers use to stay when they use to play preseason games in Multnomah stadium.
It is about a half mile uptown from the train station. The Max goes right by it. It is reasonable for Portland.
It is about 5 blocks to Jakes Crawfish and about 10 blocks from the Ringside

Multnomah County has about 560,000 registered voters out of about 2.9 million voters, hardly a majority. Also I said If the EASTSIDE of Portland only were to leave Oregon we would be a deep Red State.
I have analyzed the precinct level voting of almost every precinct in Portland. It may be boring but I am retired, it is my hometown and I am ultimately a curious sort. So I suggest you be prepared when broaching these subjects.

The problem is that leftards vote 90% for leftards. In my suburban part of the Portland metro area (Clackamas County which includes Lake Oswego and West Linn) Trump got 43% of the vote and the Republican senate candidate got 43% of the vote. Too many soft headed Snows and suburban housewives voting on feelz.
