    Like food stamps and free daycare, trains to nowhere are "infrastructure" and therefore every real American needs to support it. Proper stewardship of our limited resources isn't a voting issue, but voting for a dementia patient who loves to waste money is a reflection of high character.

    I am a fan of expanding Amtrak, it can be done fairly cheaply compared to building HSR... but the California HSR is just stupid

    Why? It's a fucking boondoggle that wouldn't survive without Federal subsidies. Train travel is slow and unreliable. If they market doesn't support it why should the government?

    People here actually cited that in order to claim Hunter was a highly experience corporate lawyer in order to defend why he got the position on the BOD with the Ukrainian oil company.
