13 year old kid shooting a gun at 2:30 in the am with a 21 y/o "friend". Kid had been missing for two days but his mom hadn't reported it. The cop is way down the line of people to blame here.

Seems pretty apparent that this kid didn't have a father in sight. Lack of a functioning father is one of the key indicators of a failed life. Not a black or white thing, it's a human thing.

    Probably was a little shit.

It's still sad when anybody is shot and killed when it wasn't necessary or justified.

But blaming everything and anything but the victim or the shitty parenting is never gonna get the job done or fix the problem.

I have a big fucking problem with trigger happy cops killing people.

This isn't an example of that. Kid is running with a gun after his adult "friend" was shooting at passing cars in Latino gang territory, in a city with third world murder rates, at 2:30 in the morning. He dropped the gun so the cop shouldn't have shot him, but that's an extremely high-stress, high-stakes situation and well within the bounds of reasonable accidents on the part of the police. Not at all a news-worthy story.

This is justifiable based on the limited info when the officer sees the gun behind the suspect and the suspect begins to turn toward him the decision to shoot was made. A person can make that turn and shoot you before you can make another decision and fire. Action always beats reaction. I doubt the cop had any idea he was 13. Of course there are quite a few 13 year old killers in gangs.

Is anyone else bothered by how fast this kid's death was pimped out and appropriated by the Free Shit Army of leftists and communists to further their greedy self-interests?

In the next year or so he was gonna be out robbing people and fighting with the police, so this is really more preventative than anything imo

It would be a lot more preventative is the left didn't want to make heroes out of resisters.

Amazing that this and the destruction of our cities and economy isn't a voting issue for a leftard like GRG.

This is a fair point. If the cop had reason. To believe he had a gun behind his back and the kid moved you gotta shoot.

Let's leave the facts and reasoning alone until the media narrative has been milked dry.

Almost every one one these shooting could be avoided if the dude would have simply beat off and went to bed.

Damone returns and immediately elevates the discussion.

Tragic situation. He had already dropped his gun. But the left continues to paint this tragedy as a harmless boy shot down in cold blood by the police. Which isn’t close to being true.

If only Congress had closed the Gun Show Exemption earlier, this kid might still be alive

If they had a father figure like dabone it'd be all good.

I thought the kid used a "ghost" gun and a stabilizing brace?
