Meanwhile, tight end Jeremy Ruckert is talented enough to be considered the best player in the nation at his position, even if the production doesn’t quite match up.
ok
Depth behind Ruckert is an issue, which is part of the reason why sophomore receiver Gee Scott Jr. is transitioning to tight end. He presents an intriguing option as a pass-catching threat but will need to grow both physically (he’s about 225 pounds right now) and in understanding the intricacies of the position before he’s viewed as a complete tight end. He could be two years away from contributing. The offense played with two tight ends about one-third of the time last season, but that figures to drop significantly with the receiver talent available and the lack of experience behind Ruckert. Redshirt sophomore Cade Stover should be ready to contribute as the No. 2 tight end after transitioning from defense last year.

just needs more tim.
He's done. Gee Sr. is gonna be pissed. Coach Day is going to wish he never disrespected the Scott's. When Gee offers to wash your car, you don't say no. You just don't

The people I fucking hate (your old pod butt buddies, well documented) thought this guy was the second coming or christ and further proof of racism or some other fucking retarded shit

He clearly had talent and who knows what would have been possible elsewhere
But at Ohio St he went from big fish in a little pond to a small fish in a big pond
This is a great example of why I always say I don’t care about who the recruit is just about that we recruit enough of them that the cream rises to the top.
While I understand implications behind things optically, anybody that believed Chris Petersen was racist is full of dog shit on the topic
Serious question, who thinks we take this kid when he transfers?
Only reason we would would be to stop Sr badmouthing UW at all times
I personally wouldn’t associate with Sr at all
I think it would backfire.
Allowing sr to have any connection with the program would be a relationship based in hell.
The only real reason(s) they would take a flyer on jr are:
- jimmy can work his coach parent relationship with sr at a much higher respectful level than Peterman. You see, jimmy has darker skin ... (Half kidding) - jr is worth the benefits cost relationship - sr has actual effective ties in the local recruiting community (doubtful?)
Otherwise it's best to wish jr best of luck and regrets it didn't work out from the beginning ... but boise or wsu/Oregon State is thataway.
And separately tell sr to fuck off again and say it's all your fucking fault for being a bridge burning asshole directly affecting his son's future and ultimately his as well.
If you enable the behavior it sets you up for failure.
Yeah, yeah, yeah I get that the dad is an asshole and that the kid had some attitude issues when he was younger but the idea that people are writing him off after his redshirt freshman year is a little premature. He's clearly a good athlete and has potential otherwise he wouldn't have gotten an offer from Ohio State. He was already bigger coming out of high school so the idea that he put on a little weight and changed position to TE is not at all out of left field.

But Gee Sr. is such a fucking prick that there is definitely some schadenfreude with this.
Gee should honestly transfer to a Wazzu or a ASU, stick to WR, work on getting faster...
WR to TE is a hell of a transition. From blocking CB to DE....

For comparison, he's the same body type as Josh Perkins who is still playing in the NFL if I recall correctly: https://gohuskies.com/sports/football/roster/joshua-perkins/1931
