Too many in this country live in their bubbles and only see the world through that lens. Few understand what it means to take a long walk on the beach for perspective.
Is this country perfect? Absolutely not.
We should understand our imperfections and work to solve them. While I don’t necessarily agree with some of the whiplash response to policing issues in this country, I do think one of the great things about our country is that we can have those discussions.
For those that want us to turn into a Scandinavian country for instance, you always have the option of moving there if that works for you. But when push comes to shove, nobody really does that. That whole action vs words thing you know.
I’m all for equal access to the tools and opportunities to be successful.
But at the end of the day, it’s on the individual to determine their path, define their drive, and plot their success.
Personally, I’d be absolutely miserable if I was in a position of being held back by others. Waste of time and energy.

Marathon bombings mastermind Tamerlan Tsarnaev was living on taxpayer-funded state welfare benefits even as he was delving deep into the world of radical anti-American Islamism, the Herald has learned.
State officials confirmed last night that Tsarnaev, slain in a raging gun battle with police last Friday, was receiving benefits along with his wife, Katherine Russell Tsarnaev, and their 3-year-old daughter. The state’s Executive Office of Health and Human Services said those benefits ended in 2012 when the couple stopped meeting income eligibility limits. Russell Tsarnaev’s attorney has claimed Katherine — who had converted to Islam — was working up to 80 hours a week as a home health aide while Tsarnaev stayed at home.
In addition, both of Tsarnaev’s parents received benefits, and accused brother bombers Dzhokhar and Tamerlan were recipients through their parents when they were younger, according to the state.
What I’m interested in is what do we want something to be and then working to carrying out that vision
I hear often about how this and that is broken ...
The great thing in those situations is that’s a great platform to scrap the current and make substantial positive changes
Yet when it comes time to do that we’re too busy talking about all the reasons we can’t do stuff
Like I said elsewhere, it’s all a mindset
