Also missing from this list is Roc Alexander. I don't recall how extensively fast Shehee was ... I know he was fast. If the only evidence of that is the 4.3, then he was no faster than Alexander, who was also a 4.3 guy. Alexander has scary speed.
Chris Massey was very fast too. I remember reading he ran a 4.3.
Yeah he really was.
He just had the shittiest skillset as a cornerback.
Getting torched by Texas was special.
I couldn’t sleep after watching that game and now you bring it up for me to suffer again

This is going to keep Five Reasons loaded for decades.
Salvon might have made this list until FSP got a hold of him. Laser timed 4.3 in high school. Also, remember that play where Feeney (to this day I wonder what we'll do without him) chased down that guy who had like a 10 yard headstart? Guy was a freak. Reminded me of the Budda/DK play from this year.

There never has been a suitable answer to the original question.

Texas and Applewhite torched a lot of teams through the air that season. Zero pro potential but classically good college QB.
Nah teams went at Massey all the time. He was god awful.
Clarifying my memory, it's true that he battled with the heralded Chris Simms for the starting role, but also reviewing the history, Applewhite was a 4th quarter fucking stud, more than just against Washington. He's also #3 all-time among Texas passers and holds / held several Texas passing records. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Major_Applewhite

Texas was also 5th in ppg that season.
