In the 2012 puget sound ice storm, I lost power for five days. I lost all refrigerated and frozen food. Driving was absolutely treacherous. No gas, no food, no travel other than by foot. I I received zero assistance from a Single Texan. Not even a fucking phone call. No flowers, nothing.

    Where where you @aoc? @thekobestopper? That’s what I thought.

The amount of politicizing this texas thing is bizarre. I was on a meeting with my boss on Monday and he cut out. Then texted me like yep the powers out. Then I talked to him later that day and on Tuesday too. Yesterday I look at the news and it's like katrina part 2 according to the media.

How many people die in az every time there's a monsoon? Like 30?

Didn't like 40 people die in texas (probably due to unrelated shit)

    Just put on a coat

Malden needs to say they are part of Texas

Abbott said about 325,000 Texans still lack power, not because of problems with generation but because of downed power lines and other issues. He is urging the state legislature to mandate winterization of generation and the power system as well as ensure the necessary funding.1 hour ago

Crap. By the time I get to SeaTac to fly down to Texas to help, there won’t be anyone left to help.

No one will need help tomorrow. No one will die of Covid. Trump in a landslide. You guys are on a roll.
On average, 600 people die every single fucking day in Texas.

It snowed. The power went out. It’s back on. AOC grifted, you cheered. President Joe and his nurses give Zero fucks. What am I missing?
What the fuck stupid question is that? TRUMP

I think aoc was in college and I had moved to Arizona. I’m sorry you went through such a tough time without help, we’re trying to build a better world where we do help each other.

Unfortunately, these extreme weather events are going to continue to get worse and we’ll all need to work together to get through it.

You did see United airlines just ordered 200 electric passenger drones for 2024 delivery, yes?

The narcissist is virtue signaling again. So are the ones on here.

What if we’re not virtue signaling? What if we’re just virtuous?

Reality is that in today’s world any event like what is going on in Texas is going to get politicized in any and every way possible for maximum benefit

I’ll never criticize Russell Wilson for all of his hospital visits ... but I will point out that he makes sure the cameras are around so people know he’s there

You're just lucky your husband was there to take care of you.

BTW, anyone from the north that has to tell you about how they managed to survive a 5 day power outage is a fucking candy ass unless you did it in the woods with no shelter. You're from the fucking north, asshole - you should be able to get by fine and save some scratch on your power bill. Shit, my elderly parents made it just fine, too - you aren't Jeremiah Johnson.

These people are from Texas. They don't own a sleeping bag or a winter parka - because why would you when cold is sixty degrees? It's not the same, brave northern survivor of an ice storm.

There's sure a lot of fucking assholes around these days. I was used to standing out from the crowd in that respect. Now I just blend in with the rest.

4 hours, $1,000,000. All us broke socialists that support her actually walk the walk. Y’all keep talking though.
They did send thoughts and prayers though.

I got by just fine. Just illustrating sometimes it gets cold in the winter. Nothing special, really.

If you don’t own a coat for an emergency, that isn’t the fault of your Senator, ever.

Per my understanding, @dflea is already somewhat, shall we say 'vertically challenged'.

Texans are annoying and self reliant. They don't need help, right?
