Can't we just hire someone from Goldman Sachs or Monsanto for the job, someone who will drive recruiting coordinators to suicide over letting 5*s leave the footprint?

What’s his buyout? $100 million?

If by ‘take’ you mean ‘make’, and by ‘job’ you mean ‘sandwich’ I think she has the right qualifications.Doog_de_Jour said:BCoveysLifeInsPolicy said:Cohen for Commish? Anyone think she'd actually take the job?

I was thinking more like a guy who worked in the SEC who really understood big money sports/TV and would put football first.AtomicDawg said:
You do realize that was the world Larry Scott came from. Fuck that. You need someone that understands how college football works, and your strengths and weaknesses as a conference. Give me a good manager of people with a strong bs detector and you can outsource or hire lesser people to be the experts on media.Kingdome_Urinals said:
I thought that for a second, but what does he know about media contracts etc? It seems like the Pac needs someone who really understands where sports media is headed with a specific vision for raising the league's prestige and keeping great coaches and players in the footprint.BCoveysLifeInsPolicy said:Petersen for Commish? Not saying Pete is the guy but they could and have done far worse.
The SEC actually celebrates their teams. In my life the Pac-12 has had incredible players and teams, still puts a ton of guys in the NFL. You wouldn't know if you flipped through pac-12 network, and the league in general doesn't promote those things.

Fuck that guy with a rusty cheese grater.
Fuck the people that put him in power and enabled him all these years.
