So my thoughts after watching the video-

    1. I do not support and would not support anything that looked like the USSR. I’ve said that before but it’s always worth mentioning.

    2. It is undeniable that in the early stages of a socialist or communist state there is a susceptibility to power grabs. Capitalism has proven it is stronger in these early stages but I view these two as mirrors of each other.

Capitalism helps to prevent it in the early stages but because it allows for and actually demands the accumulation of wealth and power, it will inevitably result in the power being condensed into the hands of the few. Communism is more susceptible early but inevitably prevents it as it goes on (yes this is the “wait till we get our guys in there” argument but we’re also advocating for a once proud program to fire the coach before it goes 0-12).

    3. My perception is that you guys view any type of power grab as “communism”. That the globalist capitalists are pushing us to communism by doing what capitalism demands. I assure you people were trying to become as powerful as possible long before communism. It feels impossible to even have conversations with you guys because of this. I don’t think we are anywhere close to socialism. I don’t think Bernie’s policies are a path to socialism. Barring a catastrophic event the US is a century (at least) from becoming socialist and if climate change isn’t real you got nothing to worry about. And you guys are like “banning people on twitter is communism”. It’s insane.

    4. I’ve generally tried to avoid any type of real conversation since coming back. I don’t really think it’s worth my time to try and have genuine conversations with you guys. Not because you’re dumb but because you refuse to leave room to agree on anything. I can talk to dnc and agree on things or agree to disagree, my best friend wants to destroy the government completely and only leave capitalism to rule and we can talk and be civil and see each other’s side but you guys are out of your fucking minds.

But I appreciate you trying to watch the video so while it’s not exactly on topic of the video, that’s what it made me think about.

Yeah guys. Kobe’s just a peaceful centrist trying to provoke rational thought in what is otherwise a cess pool.

Of course Kobe can’t post anywhere else now because he’s been chastised and run as the absolute rudderless ship that He is.

#1: Banning people on Twitter isn't "communism." It's what communists do, however. Fascists, too. Both on their way to one-party rule and ultimately totalitarianism.

#2: Your friend may indeed be out of his fucking mind, but not those who spar and slug it out with you here in the Tug. We're all assholes, basically, with good reason for being that way. Our School's Prez and AD have fucked us out of a proud, tough, winning football team for going on three decades, for one. And the State of WA has gone over the cliff trying to outdo California in the "Who can be the most ridiculously liberal and dysfunctional, you or us?" competition.

Few in here are crazy, absurd, or insane. They are pissed off at the big picture that seems to be headed our way, and pissed off that our governments have become too powerful and invasive in our daily lives, including lying to us about important things because they think we're too dumb to act appropriately in response to the truth.

Insane? Fuck no. Not even close. Aware, frustrated and angry? Fuck yes. And praise our founding fathers for our first amendment so we can scream and yell about our shitty governments all we want without getting imprisoned and shot.

    Yourself included.

What does rigid mean? I won't stop you from taking drugs. I don't want to have to pay you so you can use drugs and not work. If you steal to get the money, then I'm happy to pay for you to be in jail. If you want to trespass to illegally camp then I'm happy to jail you. Doesn't appear rigid to me. Now spending $700,000 per apartment unit to house the homeless in southern Cali, that appears rigid to me.

Sometime this week, probably on the weekend, I will watch a minimum of 20 minutes of it. If I'm sitting there going "Oh for crissakes", then I'm not willing to watch the full 45 minutes. But I'll be open-minded enough to watch 20 minutes.

Yeah if someone asked me to watch a 45 minute video of something I knew I disagreed with I’d tell them to fuck off, which is why I offered something.

If there’s ever something you want me to watch, just ask.
I don't know that I'll disagree with it. I'm 95% sure I will disagree, but it's not 100%. I'm willing to watch at least 20 minutes.

My biggest issue with Tim is the hyperbole in his headlines, as he rakes in clicks from Trump supporters like me.

But as he gives his sometimes spastic commentaries, I believe he is 100% sincere in what he is saying, and that he is dedicated to trying to find the truth without an outside agenda. In this day and age that is increasingly rare, which is why I value Tim's videos.

I'm talking about some conservatives' inability to listen to the other side for even one minute before forming an opinion. Democrats are much worse at this, but I see it on our side too.
