What gets queerer by the day to me is the antipathy against police from big state progressives. In day to day life for average people, the police are the ultimate expression of the State.

My two cents, you don’t understand left wing ideology so you project onto us that we must worship the state the way you worship capitalism. But we don’t.
We understand it quite well. I think you just don’t understand how stupid it is. Left wing ideology has led to death and misery for millions of peoole, including some in my family. You’re a fuxking idiot.
I really enjoy that, during a pandemic, you guys want people to die in the name of capitalism and still have the audacity to talk about socialism killing people.

Any time you want to compare the death counts of capitalism and socialism, I’m down.

I don’t care if you lean left or right ... find me one person that doesn’t advocate that bad cops that commit crimes shouldn’t be prosecuted

So fucking crazy to think that people that advocate supporting police is twisted to saying that they condone bad cops

Everybody is entitled the assumption of innocence until tried in front of a jury if their peers in a fair trial

Why is this shit that hard?

TDS will be with us long after Trump is gone.

    It's voluntary, you see.

“Lost over 100 officers” is an interesting way to put it. How do you lose police officers? Have they checked behind the couch? It’s always in the last place you look.

They quit because assholes like you and the people you vote for throw them under the bus and don't support them. Same thing is happening in Seattle.
    So I hurt their feelings?
No, you put their lives in greater danger and you gave more support and sympathy to the criminals than you did to the people trying to police the criminals. Why would anyone want to be a cop in a city like Portland or Seattle or Minneapolis?
If it was all about sympathy for criminals, I’d have sympathy for cops.
What’s your point dipshit? Police need better training, and that requires more funding, not less. Further, most poor communities need more police officers. You’ve offered nothing but snarky, snotty AOC depth responses.
Even Al Sharpton disgrees with you.
There is no amount of training to adequately prepare them for what they’re asked to do. What they need is less responsibility and to be demilitarized.

I find it extremely odd that the right wing, individualism, don’t tread on me crowd wants to pump money into the state for policing though. Whenever it just so happens to hurt people of color, policing and the border, the state is incredible and should be trusted 100%. Odd.

I’m being snarky because there’s no point to this thread. No changes have been implemented, just cry baby cops mad that they can’t murder black people. This is why we say there are no good cops. Murdered on a guy on camera and they’re quitting because they’ll actually have to face consequences for it.

You got Al Sharpton on your side. Congratulations.
I'll bite: Who did the cops "murder" on camera?

    This should be awesome.

Funny I recall policing doing a hell of lot to reduce the number of black men being murdered but in the mind of an idiot leftist who really doesn't give a shit about black people this "hurt people of color."

As long as the "coloreds" are killing each other Kobe doesn't give a fuck about it.
You’ve spent years screaming about black on black crime and strawmaning Chicago into every argument you can. Now the police were doing great work? Odd.
You'll never mention black on black crime because you can't cry RACISM every time that happens.

And crying RACISM is where the money is.

    Yes. It's that simple.

Cops make split second decisions often in the dark and under the great stress of life or death. Difficult job. Local PD's have ride a longs. Go out and see. (when the fake virus ends).

Takes five refs 15 HD cameras and 5 minutes to make decisions in football.

I agree with you all the way, but there are people that support bad cops. There are also the grey areas like the guy with a knife that got shot seven times and is paralyzed.

To some, that was evil by the police that they shot him seven times. To others, they see the guy had a knife, had a warrant, was ignoring orders, and let’s face it, he was a shitty person.

It rings hollow when we see video after video of cops killing people and the response from the right is “good”. People on this board have repeatedly said that Breonna Taylor deserved to die for fucking a drug dealer.

This is what happens to good cops.

You cannot be a good cop in a corrupt system. Supporting the police is an endorsement of the system.
At the point you indict "the system," you've run completely out of ammo and lost the argument. HTH.

How many times does one shoot a guy with a knife?

There have been bitwise on this site of suspects taking multiple gun shots and sticking the officer. Don't try and murder the cop. You'll live longer.

Must not have shot that shitbag enough he's alive.

Yet another police shooting victim who ignored "the Talk." Also just finished digitally raping the estranged mother of his kids. Apparently ignored #TimesUp and #MeToo, too.
