Jimmy Lake PM to Hardcore Husky

My wife was able to stay in the same vicinity as me throughout the game. I only freaked out a couple times. Unheard of.
Some quick takeaways-
Cade Otton is a fucking monster. The kid is a road grader with soft hands and he'll have NFL scouts drooling.
Cam Davis has great hands, too. Morris tossed him a couple passes that were shit for placement, and he got the maximum out of the play. Plus that power run up the middle with a couple minutes to go in the half had me sporting wood.
ZTF was out of his mind last night. So fun to watch him create havoc all over the field.
The Husky D came to play. When the opposing QB looks like he's either going to cry, or he has terrible constipation, you know the defense is making life difficult on him. Until the subs came in, the defense had stoned those fuckers cold. Absolutely no production on offense.
Our WR need to clean up their drops.
Morris was cool as a cucumber. His deep ball needs a little work, but his undershorts were clean as a whistle after the game which is a nice change from the pantshitting from Browning in years past. He took care of business like a man. Nice game.
I needed that game. It's been a long damn time.

Just a note:
We all know Jimmy is a cocky son of a hitch that isn’t afraid to talk shit and back it up. But as we have seen these two games, the players are playing with fire and attitude. They’re celebrating tackles, celebrating good runs. They’re celebrating everything and having fun.
ZTF in a post game interview mentioned that he’s having a ton of fun out there, celebrating big plays as well as little plays where everyone did their assignment.
But not only that, they’re celebrating and having fun on Twitter. Such a change from the Pete era, and I for one and here for it.

IFL Alex Cook. Hardly saw anytime last year in his third year in the program, at a new position, with multiple younger kids in front of him. That dude had every reason to give up, quit, portal etc.DoogCourics said:
Butt he busted his ass, beat out the kids, is playing his ass off, smoking ball carriers and talking shit like Lane Kiffin. Might be my favorite kid on the team right now.
You love to see it. -

It's not in fashion to complement or credit Petersen with anything, but...one of the biggest and best culture changes he brought to UW is this right here. It's no longer standard practice to write players off permanently after one or two seasons.dnc said:

Where his defense had a game as dominant as most other teams have once a decade? GTFO.haie said:Sark had a lot of games like this.

In Washington’s first two wins, the Huskies have averaged 250 rushing yards per game and 5.21 yards per carry — which rank 10th and 21st nationwide, respectively. They’ve possessed the ball for 74:16 out of a possible 120 minutes. They’ve converted 52% of their third downs (15th nationally) and 100% of fourth downs (4-4), and are the only team who has not turned over the ball.
