    Why do you love oregon?
I used to love Oregon . . . Was moderate politically. Spectacular scenery and a publicly-owned Coast (no private beaches).. Lots of Washington folks visit Oregon beaches.

    The weather . . . meh . . . Rains more in Seattle.

They should build a wall around CA (not along the southern border) to keep Californians from leaving. Like a swarm of locusts, they will ultimately destroy Idaho and Montana as well.
Just had business meeting/drinks with a big dog out of Montana - Bozeman area (Yellowstone Club guy). Said there are thousands of homes under construction in the area right now - one development alone is over 1100 homes. Californians and Seattleites flocking in.

He said the exact same thing - only a matter of time until they ruin the state. Idaho will take a little longer because it's more backward fuck/primitive than Montana.

He also predicted a massive Trump landslide victory.
I disagree with the flocking eventually ruining Montana in the sense that those leaving states and relocating right now are largely those fed up with socialist utopias ... I’d bet that those leaving are center to right and reasonable people for the most part

The more I pay attention to this election the more it becomes obvious to me that the Dems are going to lose ... and they will lose again in 2024 (I think Haley has a great chance to be the 1st woman President) and I could see Daniel Cameron follow her

Might want to think twice about messing up Montana

“Oregon“ has nothing to do with the beauty of the landscape. That existed before Oregon did.
    Needlessly pedantic.
Disagree. Oregon..the state, sucks balls in every way. The land it occupies has some nice features.

Would you say you loved the Soviet Union because of the Ruskeala region?

If you live in the willamette valley you are 45 minutes from the coast, 45 minutes from the mountains, an hour from the big city, and an hour and a half from the plains. If you like to hunt, fish, camp, and ride dirt bikes, it’s an amazing setup.
True, but . . . The pols in the state haven’t built a freeway since the mid-70’s (I-205).

They have begrudgingly widened Hwy 26 westbound one exit at a time.

Everybody is supposed to get out of their cars and take Max (light rail) or Tri-Met, the heavily subsidized bus system, used primarily by the very poor and the insane.

The Metro area has a regional government called Metro. The bureaucracy is growing. Now, they’re in the business of building affordable housing, creating green spaces, blah, blah, blah.

Interesting point . . . What year did Oregon become a state? How many years after that did Washington join the Union?

Ever hear of the Oregon Territory?

How about the Washington Territory? Umm, nope.

And it rains more in Seattle . . .

Idaho is being overrun as well. Hopefully the trend of more conservatives than liberals continues.
A neighbor just moved here (the Panhandle) from Helena, MT. Among the reasons for the move given were politics of the respective states and the 2A.

    Montana has a Rat Governor.

He is retired and had lived in Montana his entire life.

But, more importantly, British, Spanish, and Russian explorers and traders were using Washington waters and lands way before Oregon was ever settled by Americans. And yes, the Europeans saw Oregon but choose to stick to Washington land instead.

One thing California does is build freeways

And since the Vid of death they are wide open

Also pay to play express lanes

Who gives a fuck about the British, Spanish and Russian explorers?

The Oregon Territory was originally claimed by several countries.

The Washington Territory was carved out of the Oregon Territory in 1853.

Oregon was brought into the Union in 1859.

    Washington followed 30 years later.

Took Kali 30 years to build the century freeway. And it's not wide enough.

Not beating off over Oregon and please don’t compare me to CD.

If I loved it so much, I would still live there.

What you say is true about Oregon government, education and schools is for the most part, true.

Washington government sucks big-time too. Check out Seattle pols, your Governor and Senators. Patty fucking Murray?

It will always rain more in Seattle.

Both states are circling the drain.

Ever been to the midwest? Phucking awesome residents. In Iowa you can drive in any direction for a 100 miles and its just flat and corn. Freezing ass cold in the winter and muggy as hell in the summer. Place drives me nuts after a week.

I lived in Oregon for 20 years and Washington for 17. They’re about as similar as two states could possibly be, given their land mass.
