This is all stupid. Just make this happen. Tie in the NFL franchises in some flimsy way to try and draw in those fans. Maybe those times get dibs on that program's undrafted free agents. *Means a program I think would be in debate to not be included. Save an at-large Playoff spot for 1-2 teams from the division below this.
Big 10
West
1. Washington (Seahawks)* 2. Oregon (49ers)* 3. USC (Rams) 4. UCLA (Chargers) 5. Arizona State (Cardinals)* - I know it's a shitty program but it's a huge and growing region which might buy in someday 6. Utah (Broncos)* - same as ASU 7. Texas (Cowboys) 8. Oklahoma (Raiders)
East
1. Nebraska* (Bills) 2. Iowa* (Bengals) 3. Minnesota* (Vikings) 4. Wisconsin (Packers) 5. Michigan (Lions) 6. Michigan State (Bears) 7. Ohio State (Browns) 8. Penn State (Eagles)
1. Florida (Jaguars) 2. Florida State (Buccaneers) 3. Miami (Dolphins) 4. Georgia (Falcons) 5. Clemson (Ravens) 6. North Carolina* (Panthers) 7. Virginia Tech* (Commanders) 8. Notre Dame (Colts)
Programs I think would be in the debate to be included: Oklahoma State, Arkansas, Illinois, Pitt, Boston College, Houston, Mississippi State, South Carolina, Virginia, Maryland
I think Cal, Colorado and Stanford are maybe in discussion simply because of their markets.
And who is going to coerce the SEC to go along with this plan?

I remember Nebraska talking about rejoining the Big 12 if the Big 10 didn’t play in 2020. (And IIRC they were talking about permanently rejoining the Big 12 rather than just for 2020.) I didn’t realize Ohio State was also talking about playing in another conference.
It’s a shame the Big 10 didn’t cancel the 2020 season. If Nebraska had rejoined the Big 12, then maybe Texas and Oklahoma wouldn’t have left for the SEC since the Big 12 would have re-gained the biggest brand that they had previously lost, allowing the Big 12 to make more money. And if Texas and Oklahoma hadn’t joined the SEC, then it’s almost certain that USC and UCLA wouldn’t have joined the Big 10.

Not fair. The 49ers will get all of the best players.
