A big life lesson I learned in my thirties: women don't really buy expensive clothes and shoes primarily for attracting men. They do so primarily to compete with other women.

If you're an ugly fucker, take those off your list. I had to take NFL linebacker off mine because my physical characteristics didn't measure up. I shouldn't even mention this, but about 12 years ago I attended a HS Football game where it was somebody vs. Renton High, and one of Renton's Cheerleaders was a dwarf.
I tried man, I really, really tried, but I couldn't help laughing when she tried to do a high kick and fell over backwards. One of the funniest scenes in my life.
I've never felt worse as a human being, but what a life-affirming experience. For her.
