Why wouldn't businesses pursue maximizing profit. Goods produced in China cost less, American consumers benefit. Its also raised Chinese living standards.. Tariffs and protectionism doesn't help Americans. It hurts. The Chinese don't pay tariffs, American consumers do. The idea of producing all goods with American labor is flawed. Take the price of TV's, appliances, iPhones, whatever and tack on 40%, 50%, or more but we can create more middle class jobs which comes with less spending power. We end up worse off. Trade deficits benefit Americans. Today someone can create a small business, manufacture goods in China and pay Amazon 30% for end to end fulfillment and marketing on the defacto sales platform.

Other countries like Vietnam and India can and will and already are picking up the slack. Advanced components and medicine shouldve never been outsourced to begin with -

Again, this bored isn't ready for a real discussion on this at all.
Blacks got fucked by deindustrialization and globalism probably harder than any other group. You could get a good factory job a couple of generations ago and provide for your family. That's not the case very much now. So families get broken more. You can blame that on the elite power structure, not everyday white people. I think a lot of the youth black culture glorifies being a shithead and looks down on those who succeed in school. I'm going off of the 90s. Maybe (hopefully) that's changed a little. And again, kids from single parents statistically do worse financially, are more likely to abuse drugs, and are more likely to end up in the prison industrial complex. Stop sweeping that problem under the rug. Both parties won't touch that. Well I will (on a semi anonymous message board). -
