Totally the same thing. Way to bring it to a level that everyone can understand.MelloDawg said:

I’ve participated in a number of exercises which involved both State and Federal agencies. The scenarios ranged from chemical spill responses to stolen nuclear materials. There are people who question emergency preparedness drills at every level out of extreme paranoia. I didn’t start doing it until around the 3rd grade when they made us hold hands with a buddy as we did our fire drill. Why would they do that? What were the Zionist-globalists trying to communicate that day?salemcoog said:

Well I have always been a prepper. Pulling false fire alarms all through school just to be ready

Just confirming what you already suspected?MelloDawg said:

No they aren't. Most anti-vaxers are leftists.GreenRiverGatorz said:
Fair. I never meant to suggest that the alt right has a monopoly on anti-science lunacy. Just that they're the dominant player.DuckHHunterisafag said:

Good post. I'm dizzy from all this shit. Here's where I come out on most of it. I have no fucking idea. People go after theories that seem implausible and often contradict themselves. But then sometimes those same people point shit out that does at least give me pause.
As to left and right, I've found that distinction to be less and less useful over time. People are all over the place with their views, and when it comes down to it, many are just issue-specific. -
You're such a fucking retard.salemcoog said:

In my neck of the woods and in my anecdotal sample, Greenie would be correct. The vast majority of people I know who jump on these things, and anti-vax specifically, are what we call today right wing. Of course, as I just posted, those labels aren't very precise any more. Maybe they never were. The conspiracy stuff is borne out of deep suspicion of government, and a lot of that today is found in what look to me like right wing groups who are obsessed with their focused on the left, Hilary, Obama, etc. You had the birther stuff, Obama's name and thus his alleged role as a secret Muslim agent, Hilary and her penchant for having her adversaries snuffed out, Pizza Porn Gate, etc. Think Alex Jones. If that's not right wing, then so be it. Give me the right name and I'll use it. But that kind of crowd is the political group to which I refer.SFGbob said:

THat is not to say that there isn't plenty of shit to be smeared around. On the left, there is an assumption about their rightness that borders on religious piety. And many other deficiencies, which include assuming a lot into debate that is in fact quite debatable.
But it is the Alex Jones-esque crowd - many of them in my family and broader social circle - who claim to have access to "fair and unbiased" sources of information that apparently I'm too stupid or limited in my research abilities to find. Again, call them what you will. Right, left, alt, other. I know them when I see them. -
