This seems like a bad idea

There’s the argument that mail-in votes increases/decreases voter turnout and then there’s the singular one your opponent is making that the SCOTUS decision could hurt this specific voter turnout (which it more or less is as ballots are being invalidated despite extenuating circumstances).DuckHHunterisafag said:
Thank you. I believe his argument will be the whole Wisconsin election should have been by mail or delayed until the voters weren't supressed. I haven't paid attention to the issue but he says it was because in addition to their primaries there were state supreme court openings and the Republicans knew they could hurt the Democrtas by not extending the vote.MelloDawg said:

Pawz, do you have some information on that? I just had someone arguing with me how evil Republicans are and how BS the Supreme Court is for forcing this Wisconsin vote to move forward. Why wasn't it just delayed? I'm not for mail in vote as it is rife with fraud and would love to show him how turnout would actually be lower if that were the case. Seems counterintuitive to me.pawz said:insinceredawg said:https://www.foxnews.com/politics/wisconsin-primary-underway-coronavirus
Let's hear the TugTard excuses on why every state shouldn't move to mail-in voting.
This subject has been studied. The fact is voter "turnout" declines in mail-in jurisdictions.
Not surprised Democrats would champion an idea to subvert the will of the people. Not surprised at all.
Also talks about the Election Day alternative. It’s from 2013, but somehow I doubt the voting process has improved enough to contradict the study from 7 years ago

biggest benefit - less advertising and campaigning. I want early voting to start now
Edit - Washington and Oregon not included mainly because the elections are over before we? finish voting. Our? votes do not matter -

Don't necessarily agree. The networks may call the Presidential election before poles close in the far west but until things change massively, those are 3 solid blue states regardless. You could call them as Blue in June if you wanted...no big surprise there. And since we? operate under the electoral college system anyway, Cali, OR and WA are probably going to go blue irregardless. But it always is nice to say, "fuck that - I didn't vote like the rest of you retards" when the national total goes red.LebamDawg said:

The reason one's votes count is the local and state elections/initiatives. If someone is voting only for President, they're doing it wrong. -

I'm all for mail in ballots but I don't think they would be the boon for turnout that many think they would.
