Woke up to numerous headlines about how deaths soared over night. Went to the Jerry Lewis tote board and there are 80 in So Cal. Down one from yesterday. Apparently Lazarus didn't die or something

The forecast for total deaths in California is more than 5,000. On March 31, California had approximately 135 deaths.


California is going to have to pick it up to get that 100,000 dead that H is rooting for. Let alone 240K

But the peak is two weeks away and the second wave and next winter and stuff!!!!!!!

I assume substantially all of those medical personnel who were furloughed are involved in non-covid and otherwise non-essential medical fields. Like all other workers getting the shaft, they need to be looked after accordingly.

Not sure what the alternative is. The only way to keep them employed is to proceed with non-essential medical operations that will only intervere with the covid response and further strain hospital capacity.

I would think all hands on deck would be required for THIS pandemic. Health care workers are getting sick. They need replacements
