People want strong leadership. It's hard to argue.PurpleThrobber said:
Personally I quite like Obama. I'd talk massive shit about his crap cross-face push that he thinks is a jump shot but he'd probably be a pretty good guy with whom to have a beer and shoot the shit. Much moreso than Trump who apparently doesn't drink.creepycoug said:

Trump in no where near perfect. But he is a lot more perfect than PIPS, barry, Slo Joe or Fredo II. It's leftards that are the hypocritical lying POS. Substance to a leftard is a chart that shows 2.2 million American dead based on a myriad of obviously false assumptions.
We have never had a President who is beyond reproach. On the right, many people take Obama to task for every single thing he ever did, never give him the benefit of the doubt, and exaggerate his flaws. On the left, people do the same with Trump. Trump is unpolished, impulsive, reactive, does not speak well, and has an ego that sometimes gets in his way; but the guy wouldn't get credit from progressive-minded people even if he, himself, were to come up with the vaccine for corona.
We like who we like based on our general outlook and philosophy. Once we've made up our minds, we dislike and reject evidence and anecdotes that are inconsistent with that outlook and philosophy. And, whether admitted or not, a decent % of that posture is informed by intuition and feelings and the way we were raised.
But Obama did jackall in 8 years other than foster division within the country and apologize for America.
Trump will never apologize for America and the Throbber has absolutely no problem with that. None.
The USA is the greatest country on earth. And our kids need to hear that and our allies need to hear that (aspirationally) and our enemies need to hear that because we WILL kick their ass if necessary.
Trump does that daily. And if he fucks up the execution, so be it - vote him out in November. But thank god rollover Obama and his ilk are not running the show right now. -

I don't like lots of things but he actually works for us! He is for America.jecornel said:We know lord trump is has been perfect as president so far but do you at least have one slight criticism?
Try to to show a sliver of objectivity if you can stomach it.
Although I really am starting to enjoy him talking back to the bashers. They bitch and moan and then want Shit like a petulant child.
Not kissing Russian and Chinese ass? telling our allies to pay up? Keeping illegals out?
Just what is it that causes your panties to creep into your snatch? -
In Obama we elected a Personality, not an Executive. In Trump we elected an Executive with, at times, an abrasive, reckless personality.PurpleThrobber said:

Obama promised "Yes We Can" stuff all along the campaign trail then said "No We Can't" way too often after getting into office. And 2012-16, the Presidency was office-shared between Hillary and Michelle.
Trump seems to enjoy saying, "Oh, Yes I Will. Watch Me!" And he's kept about 400% more campaign promises than any President in recent memory, which is why he's gonna trounce anyone the D's push into the Ring.
