csb: My son's name is Archer. He's nine.

EVERYONE thinks he was named after the character in the show. Actually, he was named after my favorite pub/restaurant in Bellingham, where Mrs. 1to982987 and I used to get drunk and eat two or three times per week. We thought it would be an original name. At the time, I'd never heard of the show (always late to the party). Turns out, thanks to Duchess, Archer was on the top-10 list for boy names that year. Dammit...

I still watch Archer. Can’t say the same for South Park. SP humor to me had a pull date. Like that episode about Kanye and fish sticks. I would have to look that up to get the reference.

Fish dicks was pretty funny but far from the best they've done.

I fucking LOVE Archer, even as the later seasons lacked the punch of earlier ones. Pam Poovey is my spirit animal, and I always recite this when having Bloody Marys:

But South Park was a goddamn phenomenon when it debuted. I saw the original “Spirit of Christmas” short at Spike & Mike’s Sick and Twisted Film Festival and thought even with the crude animation I thought it was brilliant.

And Archer doesn’t have its own movie:

what the fuck is a spirit animal??

South Park genius, just off the top of my head:

    • The F Word (the Harley Davidson episode), perhaps the funniest thing ever.
    • Major Boobage (Heavy Metal/Cheesing).
    • Make Love, Not Warcraft (autobiographical for everyone here).
    • Fun With Weapons (anime episode)
    • The Mormon episode.
    • The Scientology episode that led to Isaac Hayes quitting the show.
    • Butters' Bottom Bitch.
    • Randy giving himself giant ball cancer to smoke weed.
    • The Christian rock band episode.
    • Cartman sucks Butters' dick and photographs it.
    • Cripple fight.
    • Jimmy fucks a whore to get rid of his constant embarrassing boners.
    • Broadway Bro Down.
    • The Bat Dad little league shit talking dad fight.
    • The Prius episode (Smug Alert).
    • Butters mistakenly being sent to a pray the gay away camp.
Holy shit, I could keep going. The hit rate in this series is ridiculously high. There is no show in history that has produced as many episodes that are absolute classics.
    -The Nintendo Wii/Time child/Otters 2-parter

    -Christmas Critters/Every Christmas episode

-Towlie, aka the greatest character ever

    - Guitar Hero/Heroin Hero

Those are all so fucking funny. The Christian Rock Band one was a good call. The guitar hero one is another that is hilarious. I was crying when the hired gun is using the video game guitar at the restaurant and everyone is mesmerized.

The original “The Coon” episode with Cartman was one of my favorites. The future episodes they did with it tho were underwhelming.

Cartman sucks butters dick and gets sent to gay camp is the same episode. Maybe they had a running gag for another episode. I forget. Seasons 4 to like 8 or 9 of South Park are must watch tv.
You guys made some good lists. It's not hard to add to them at all and that says it all about how amazing this show has been.
The fun with weapons episode, where they buy throwing stars and nunchucks and shit and butters gets one in the eye, is up there for me. Butters' time at the vet kills me every time.

The Archer is a pretty solid spot.

The South Park episodes listed by posters here are all great examples of how awesome the show was, but also none of them are from the last 3 or 4 seasons. Overall it's GOAT level as a show, but has fallen to Jordan on the Wizards level the past few years.

I liked Archer a lot. Used to watch it all the time when it was first on. I quit and then haven’t watched since probably 2012. I probably missed out.
