None the above, Snows a oar boat rower hamburgerhead and I know better ——>there really is no bad vote on those choices - missing Scallops mmmmmmmm.
Take a little of each one on the list and make Ciopinno mmmmmmm
When I lived in Baltimore used to each lunch at a place called Schultzy's on Eastern ave. Crab bisque and a soft shelled blue crab sandwich - a CLT instead of a BLT. mmmmmmmm
ABUNDANCE is the answer
Edit - forgot the pix

Crawfish is more work but >>>SECDAWG said:Saw Snow mention getting crab the other day but he never said What kind of crab he was getting I like dungeonous Snow, or Blue....I like Blue the best, Dungeonous nex.
But like “Royal Red” shrimp best....they come from deep water of Florida and can only get them Florida to Alabama. Very rarely make it much further west. I cooked some tonight.

Shrimp
You're expecting me to expend effort and that's just not a lifestyle I can embrace.ThomasFremont said:
Crab tastes way better than shrimp though.PurpleThrobber said:
Blue are pretty solid but the Dungie and King are better.YellowSnow said:Good shit pole, Cletus.
You're full of shit on crabbies though. It's Dungeness with a good white wine or GTFO.
As Jim once said...

Get here, and we'll do the rest
Still doesn't change my answer. Unless you're going full on picnic table/newspaper crab boil, shrimp are just easier to consume. See also: scampi.

Fish
All seafood is work. I don’t think crab is any more challenging than shrimp. I don’t have to de-vain crab.PurpleThrobber said:

King Crab is the ultimate, but PNW salmon, dungeness, and clams are all worthy.

Crab
Skrong disagree. Dungies beat the shit out of King crab although they are still damn tasty.UWhuskytskeet said:King Crab is the ultimate, but PNW salmon, dungeness, and clams are all worthy.

FishFish is too broad a category so it wins by a mile.
Crab fishermen that I know will only eat kings, red or blue, and Dungeness.YellowSnow said:Good shit pole, Cletus.

Fish
Because of this I am a massive pain in the ass when going out to eat. I love salmon. But *only* wild PNW salmon.RaceBannon said:Barbecue fresh salmon from the cold waters of Puget Sound
Lived for a summer on it when I was working at a herring bait fishery. We kept accidentally catching salmon in the nets
Not big on seafood as a rule
Also like fresh crab legs.
One thing the NW will spoil you on is seafood. Not the farm shit available most places
“Oh that salmon dish sounds good. Where is the salmon from?”
Waiter/waitress: “uh I don’t know, Atlantic?”
“Is it farm raised?”
“Uh I don’t know, maybe”
“Fuck you I’ll have the steak”
Salmon, Halibut and crab (dungeness, King, snow and blue all have their place) are my favorites.

Mastro's Seafood Tower. Customizable. Order the King Crab, Dungness, and the LARGE prawns. Skip the oysters. I could go either way on the lobster. Can be ordered at Scottsdale's Mastro's, CityHall, or The Ocean Club. Mastros has a Beverly Hills location, as well. They'll give you a private table. Just tell them you're part of Derek Johnson's crew.
