Has anyone else heard this rumor from friends who supposedly have contact with military personnel that the Pres. is going to invoke the Stafford Act to quarantine the entire country for some period of time?

Sounds like that was some major fake news. He would play right into the hands of the nanny-state loving democrats. We are already well beyond any point we should have been and the democrats are circle jerking the fuck out of each other to see who can outdo the other with lock downs.

If you want them home with you, get them on a plane very soon. I have family who were told by high ranking intelligence officials to get out of Hawaii unless they were prepared to be there for a while.

I don't know on what legal basis, but I have heard full quarantine. What I heard was so crazy I couldn't believe it. 14 day house bound quarantine; after that 4 weeks only allowed out for 1 hour a day.
I don't know how they would enforce it as a practical matter.

Early to mid-April all this will go away and everything will be heading back to normal, albeit with a stock market that has temporarily crashed and some helicopter money for the masses. We aren’t going to run out of food and it’s not going to continue through the summer.
Will be a wild next couple of weeks though mainly due to the fact that life won’t be normal with kids at home and a ton of people working from home and not eating out/etc. Feel worst for the waiters/waitresses...they will be hardest hit.

Thought about that. I'm not sure they're better off here. There's a guy in my neighborhood who's in ICU with this thing. They're both in smaller town settings where things haven't really hit.
