I’ll try and keep this updated(I know, NOC but is is Leach)....Leach has a huge talent pool from MS to recruit. ...more than fatgin WA...but the best go play for AL and LA. Hell, the Mr. MS #1 recruit from 2 years ago(I remember him well caus he put the team that put us out in 6A) went to fukn Fl St...Cam Ackers. Look him up. A baller.
Wanna see if Leach can not only recruit “in state”(has competition now with Kiffin) and keep them here, but develop them. We the butt of SEC, deliverance style.
Leach better know that and anxious to see what can do. Be awesome if he can compete. We have our moments. Gone be a fun season but not expecting much. Fk, Mullen was here.
Leach recruits the QB and lets the assistants do the rest. He's lazy like that.
Halliday was already there.
Gesser recruited Falk.
You saw what happened to Hilinsky (too soon?)
Minshew was like Richard Gere crying in An Officer and A Gentleman "I got nowhere else to go".
So, yeah...lazy is pretty accurate.
Agree with all except the Minshew part.
He was a helluva QB at Brandon, Ms in high school(I know) and could have played at a lot of schools. He just got lucky with Leach. Guess Leach can sniff em out caus Minshew coulda excelled anywhere.
"It wasn't just some mad dash to the SEC. I was very happy in Pullman. I loved Washington State," said Leach, who was close to landing the Tennessee head-coach job in 2018 before athletic director John Currie was fired and replaced by Phillip Fulmer. "I'd been [at Washington State] eight years and just wanted to see what was on the other side of the hill."
And just like that, football in the state of Mississippi became a must-see event -- on the field, at the podium and on Twitter.
"I have always had a lot of admiration for the SEC, especially with the way that Alabama has been so dominant the past eight to ten years," Costello said. "I have always respected the SEC and the style of play there. There are a lot of quarterbacks who come out of California, but there haven't been many who have gone to the SEC and played in an uptempo offense like this. Going to the SEC gives me the chance to compete against some of the best teams in college football."

He was about to go to Bama and get into coaching. He wasn’t playing over Tua or Hurts. I agree he would have been good at a lot of places, but Leach bailed him out.

As I said, he got lucky. But a gem in disguise. As proven fo WSU.
Arnett is fired up about the opportunity to install his defense at Mississippi State, a place that already has an identity as a tough defensive program.
"Talking to coach Leach and hearing his vision for the program and the way things are run here, the opportunity coach in Starkville and be in the SEC, it was an opportunity I felt I couldn't pass up," he said.
I have to admit I don't understand the outrage. I have a feeling that it's because I don't recognize the image or associate it with anything else. Is this a famous image with racist undertones or something?

In an interview with Derek Johnson of WoodinvilleSports.com, Andre Dillard, a former Washington State Cougar, sounded off on Leach.
Not good.

I miss Leach already
