Ummmm, Bellingham is an absolute liberal SHIT HOLE! Here is why;GreenRiverGatorz said:
Bellingham is about half the price as Seattle but about twice as liberal (yes it's possible). Gorgeous place to be with access to the best mountain in WA that doesn't get crowds.GrundleStiltzkin said:
Bellingham is nutty expensive for what it offers, and politically following Seattle, but without the economic base. Hard pass.HHusky said:
I like Spokane. But I think about Bellingham. You've still got the water and you can go either North or South for big city events when you want to.Doog_de_Jour said:
I have thought about Spokane actually, which is hilarious because 1) I was born there and 2) arrogant teenager DDJ swore never to return to Eastern WA.HHusky said:Not sure I'd leave the PNW just to escape Seattle, but Palm Springs or the Carmel Valley would be nice. Santa Fe also.
But unless you're a burnout or retired, your options are limited.
- They are putting out their own Green New Deal which is forcing homes to be carbon neutral in a few years. This means to build a home you cannot have any fuel other than Electricity in your home. If you sell your home, it must be converted to carbon neutral before a sale can occur. This means all the old pre-50s/60s homes that would be hell to remodel will need to be gutted and updated to electricity. They are stripping the market and getting worse.
- They are getting ready for a rent cap, meaning that the rent is set and landlords are forced to be below that.
- They are also going to put into affect that landlords must pay all utilities for their renters.
- 60%+ of the residents in Bellingham are rentals.
- They can't handle their own homeless problem.
Bellingham is full of stupid effing WWU graduates and liberal self fart sniffers. Doubt it, have fun reading this: https://nytimes.com/2020/01/05/us/bellingham-natural-gas-ban.html
Information I have provided is from a Bellingham Real Estate pro.
Don't go to Bellingham, it is trash... plus you have to deal with Canadians being idiots to buy shit from us because their own country is so effing corrupt in their own economy.

Close to these, but not in them. Give me 5 acres in MT or WY and I'll be a happy camper. Go be a Sheriff and get me some Longmire action.MikeDamone said:Bozeman Mt or Jackson Wy.

SE Alaska... on the water, next to a Costco.

Ha ha. I'm basically right next to Steilacoom so most of that shit is miles away. I did have a guy offer me a blow job, in a 7 Eleven, which is a first. To quote Bill Burr in a Dave Chapelle skit, a mouths a mouth. http://www.cc.com/video-clips/3cv2kt/chappelle-s-show-dudes--night-out---uncensoredPurpleBaze said:

Which saddens me as I've moved further away from @PurpleBaze, but I am now closer as the crow flies to @89ute and @RaceBannon . TBH, I don't like my chances. Was happy to learn my state rep and county rep are anti tax conservatives.
Outside the PNW, I'd move to northern Salt Lake, or Temecula. I have my reasons.
Sexual conquests aside, I'd probably end up in West Virginia. -

I love WV. It helps I'm related to half of the eastern panhandle, but . I'll be out there in September. To quote a relative who lives in WV and drove into VA for work, "WV prices, with VA wages." Pepperoni rolls for life! Their property taxes are insanely low. They also hand out guns at town festivals. Also watch your speed in Wardensville.Swaye said:
All joking aside, I am taking FRANNY and the missus up to West Virginia in the next few months to start eyeing property for the eventual Wigwam compound. It's beautiful up there. Just axe John Denver. Low taxes. Great gun laws. Unobtrusive government. Scenic beauty. Plenty of meth. I will move to WV eventually. There is no doubt. Virginia going blue really fucked me over. I won't stay here and support it with Orkin tax dollars. Fuck off Virginia.huskyhooligan said:I just moved to Lakewood. Have been doing North Idaho in summer, Central America in winter.
Along with multiple trips to Florida to watch my daughter play.
I'm a very lucky guy. -

I hate people as much as @MikeDamone does. Pompous rich people who think they are god's gift to skiing even worse. Sun Valley and the Throbber do not abide. Fuck those guys. Give me jeans and some K2s, a rickety ski bus and it's all good, man.TurdBomber said:
There's better snow than Sun Valley, for sure. But Summer in the Sawtooths is unbeatable.PurpleThrobber said:
The Throbbers knees gave out years ago but back when he was the American Franz Klammer, much preferred McCall to Sun Valley - more consistent powder, far less crowded. Way less expensive though money is no object to the Throbber in search of a good time.TurdBomber said:
I prefer the aura of Hemingway's splattered brains that still hangs over Ketchum. Especially while drinking at the Casino.PurpleThrobber said:,
You got me there.TurdBomber said:
Small ski resort, I think it was. But Bruce dumped millions into Hailey, and thus down the drain. The Mint's in Hailey, Throbber, not Ketchum. But you ain't no Sun Valley Superiority Guy until you've gotten drunk at Galena and driven home in a whiteout.RaceBannon said:Demi and Ashton bought a town in Idaho
McCall > Sun Valley, btw.
And Mariel is hot as fuck in person. What a beauty. The cameras don't do her justice.
Brundage had a long ass run that went forever. Only place the Throbber has visited with a longer ride was Red Mountain in BC.
Plus I’m just fucking with you. But McCall used to be a hidden gem. Shifty two long road so access is miserable. But it ain’t easy driving in to Sun Valley either.
The Horizon Turbo props that flew into Hailey were the best. Roomy, free lunch, free beer & wine and you could walk right to the gate with no security. Then those fucking Arabs pulled off 9/11 and ruined everything, forever.
