Will never understand why people love to take shots at Pete. All he did was lead us to the CFB, win two pac-12 titles and lead us to three new year six bowl games.RaceBannon said:Top two issues I had with Petersen as well
Never got a quarterback or an offense
Left us with an assistant
Fuck that guy for real -
I’m mostly with you on Pete, but it ended bad and the program was fizzling out. The past three years were not a ton of fun. Getting beat in BCS Bowl games sucked. Losing to ASU in 2917, Stanford, Cal, etc sucked and should not have happened.sonics1993 said:

I think Pete is a very good coach, but I get why Pete takes shots. His offenses sucked and we lost most (all to some fans) of the big games. There is some stuff he deserves criticism over.
I think he would have figured it out but we will never know. -
Eason had the best deep ball accuracy of any of the quarterbacks (including Herbert) ... but was pretty underwhelming in interviews. He has a monster arm, and he puts the ball right where it needs to be on the vertical throws. It stood out on the field on Thursday night. But I've heard from a handful of teams that were pretty unimpressed with the interviewing process off the field. That was a big thing coming into the combine for Eason, and while these are short sessions that will later be expanded on, it didn't do him any favors. -- McShay -
"Dude was 6'6", 235 pounds, bombing it all over the field, and was the most accurate guy there, but I just don't think I can draft a guy who's not good at interviews."
--No NFL GM ever. -
Good thing Vanilla notified me that somebody hopped on this thread to spit hot fire at 11:01PM.

I would be very surprised if Eason won a playoff game and started for 12 years in the NFL. That would be a very successful career for him.sonics1993 said:
And sadly it never worked. He never spent extra time in the film room, never spent extra going over the playbook so he would know the ins and outs. It's why I don't see him being successful in the NFL but I hope i'm wrong because he's a great kid but he's got to put more effort and intensity into football if he wants to succeed. Don't become anthor Jay Cutler.Houhusky said:
Its was always clear that the whole QB starting fiasco was that weird place where Petersen didnt want to name Eason the starter because he isnt that dedicated and has a lower IQ than Lockner BUT he didnt have a QB good enough to justify not starting Eason so he just played it out as long as possible in the hopes it would motivate/challenge Eason...sonics1993 said:Eason reportedly bombing interviews for being too relaxed and his dedication to football being questioned which is no surprise. Top two issues Pete had with him and why it took so long to appoint him the starting QB.

There’s no fucking way he ran a real 4.6.PurpleBaze said:
Our white linebacker in high school ran a 4.6 and that was after recovering from a knee injury.KrunkJuice said:
Fuller at 4.64 is pathetic.
4.6 HS hand timed is like a 4.9 at the combine. -
Agree. If he had won just one (any one of them) of the NY6 gaymes I think the whole narrative around here on Pete changes. But 6 years and no real hardware is 6 years and no real hardware. NOGAF about Pac-12 titles in the weakest conference of my lifetim.RoadDawg55 said:

He slipped on his first step, too much baby oil from the grind.RealRhino said:Hunter Bryant didn’t run as well as hoped/expected. Did he cheat the grind?

Ahmed with a 4.62. Yikes. And Trey looking bad body. Not that I didn’t before, but makes me believe even more that all that FSP bullshit is just that.
-

Almost all the videos these places put out on Twitter, all I see are shitty reps and makework.
-
Salvon might be slow but at least he falls over the moment someone places part of their finger on him.

The new Husky football -
Ahmed with a 4.67 on his second run. Must’ve cheated that hotel #HallwayGrind

4.6+ is a big yikes for a guy with well below average vision and balance.RealRhino said:Ahmed with a 4.62. Yikes. And Trey looking bad body. Not that I didn’t before, but makes me believe even more that all that FSP bullshit is just that.
I said before that it made sense for Ahmed to leave and hope his athleticism could carry him to a 4th round pick but with that speed check he probably should have just come back and enjoyed what he had left of playing football. There is a serious chance he never steps on the field again.
When is the XFL draft? -
He ran a 4.3 in highschool, what a disaster

Mostly better lighting + flexing. Hit me up if you want in on my Beachbody MLM pyramid scheme.KrunkJuice said: -
Still can’t find a video of his 40 lol

@RichAlexis thinks Salvon did all the right things with his body
-
He put on 7 fucking pounds. That will probably eat into a guy's 40 time, but what do I know.KrunkJuice said:
What was the grand FSP strategy here? The one thing Salvon had going for him was the ability to run a 4.4, but instead you bulk him up and slow him down? -
Sounds like he cheated the grind
-
Sounds more like “the grind” is a FS concept to begin with. I’m all for working hard, but working smart is more important.
Ahmed in particular was never going to be big enough to be a feature back, so the focus should have all been on speed.
