Well, we all know that the underwear Olympics that is the combine gets NFL GM's rock hard drooling over potential ... at the end of the day, it's good for UW Football and recruiting if they have Eason picked high.

It really doesn’t matter. We didn’t sign great QB’s after Locker. We sign a 4 or 5 star one every year anyways. We don’t develop them for shit, but no school really has a monopoly on QB’s. They mostly chose the bets school with the easiest pathway to playing time.

I understand what you're saying ... but i'd rather have the coaches be able to say "Skinny went 13th ... drives a Ferrari ... gets a ton of pussy ... we can do the same for you ... we'll tailor an offense around you and give you Jalen McMillan ... Puka Nacua ... Myles Murao ... Mark Redman ..."
rather than ...
"no, we haven't had any success lately with our 4/5 star quarterbacks in the draft ... but you can be the first one and trailblaze a tradition for the next generations! ..."
"Eason can rip it and push the ball downfield. He does not make as many poor decisions with the football as Justin Herbert. Las Vegas opens its new stadium with some fireworks."

this is from the raiders selecting herbert at #12:
It is becoming widely accepted that the Raiders need a new quarterback. Washington's Jacob Eason and Herbert would seem to be the most likely because of their ability to push the ball downfield.
yeah, eason has a fuckin cannon but herbert 'pushing the ball down the field?' dude threw a fuck ton of screen passes.
i cant see either of these guys playing for gruden.
I realize that I look like an Eason fanboi updating this thread ... but really i'm more interested in the currency/optics it gives UW if Eason gets picked high and ultimately if he does well.

projected trade with Bears:
We've heard how Derek Carr isn't a favorite of Jon Gruden, so why not take a tall passer with a big arm to replace him?
