In all seriousness, we should be good next year. Defense will be like the defenses of old. The offensive coaching change gives new hope. The OL wasn’t any worse without Adams and Mele did well when he was in for Harris earlier this year. RB’s and WR’s should be better next year too.
If the offense can perform at a top half of the conference, the season will go well because the defense is going to be very, very good.

Except our QB will have a micro phallus and won't sling guns.
So it seems like we all really like Pete again and wish him well and knew he was an elite coach all along. Some of us are emotional too.
This place can be special.
I'll check back in when slick jimmy lake ballz blows up his first game Bazey style.
You're all on your own now slick jimmy. The grown ups have moved out.
Let's see if you can back up that shit talk. Can't play Cuog every week.
Last night Damon Huard was droning on about how Peterman has been "incredibly successful at Washington in every imaginable way."
To which I replied to the car radio, "You mean like his 2-4 record in bowl games, 0-3 record in in NY6 bowl games, and 2-4 record against Oregon?"
Fear not El Creepo, Stalin is keeping it real.
Looking at the programs that were in the mix for the conference title at least half of the time when Pete was here:
Oregon 2-4 Stanford 2-4 Utah 4-2, counting the ccg last year Wazzu 6-0 (were in the mix for the North 4 of those years) SC 2-1
His success was predicated on lesser talent being in contention at the same time UW was.
Or coaches with similar talent that were just god awful on game day: committing to the run when it's not working and you have a dominant passing game, staying committed to the air raid against a defense designed to counter it, etc. Oregon's defense and team culture was soft/entitled which Pete forced them to correct.
His overall place in the conference depends on how you look at Playoff appearances. He doesn't even have a bowl trophy over a Power 5 team. However only two Pac 12 teams have made it to the Playoffs, which you have to be near perfect to do in this conference.
He's in some weird place along with Shaw, who would be hands down the best coach this decade if it weren't for his program melting down over the last 4 seasons. 2017 Stanford UW game along with an actual Rose bowl is the tiebreaker.

El Creepo. Damn. Stalin going all ethnic and shit.
You're changing man.
Still, your rite. The one thing people forget (hi @RaceBannon ) is that DJ was DEADLY AS FUCK when given tim to prepare for a bowl game. If had anywhere near the talent necessary to beat an opponent, he was a nice bet to win.
In that respeck, Toothy Grin Pete was an abject failure by comparison. Sorry. Facts is facts.
