Other than perhaps the QB position, Petersen leaves behind a pretty good group of young talent that was gradually improving as a team in 2013 until their starting QB was lost due to injury and they finished their season at 8-4 with a bit less accomplished than was expected. BSU does need to find improvement at the QB position, but their prospects for 2014 and what the new Bronco coaching staff will have to work with at least on paper in terms of depth and talent looks good.
