Same oath as that military sparky. Minus obeying superiors yada yada yada. Uphold and defend. Something you could care less about.

Who did you swear this oath to?

It's foreign to me that people have the mindset that they are so morally superior that they think they have the authority to mandate what people do with their property.

It’s still illegal in WA state to grow your own marijuana...but you can buy it marked up at a state licensed store no problem!
    Washington sucks ass.

This is so beyond retarded. So I guess I won't have to pay my property taxes for those months the tenant doesn't make their payments.

Jeezus, Seattle, you deserve every fucking thing you get. Idiots.

Let's at least wait for Sawant to get a second vote before throwing in the towel.
They held this issue until January so that Sawant can get more of her people in there. Morales is coming in as a socialist, too. Herbold is on board with this stuff because she hates property owners (even though she and her husband own two properties - fun fact, Herbold doesn't live in Seattle, she lives in North Bend). Mosqueda will vote for this because she hates landlords because one time when she was a kid her landlord evicted her mom because she couldn't pay rent. I could go on and on.

That's 4 votes, and the rest will fall in line because they're scared of being branded as anti-renter and anti-homeless. There's a reason why everything passes 9 - 0 down there at city hall (unless Sawant votes against the other 8).

Maybe. It will be struck down in court if that happens.

Been paying attention to the other anti-landlord laws that the city has passed the past 3 years? Lots of lawsuits, and the courts have been upholding the city's laws, including overturning lower court rulings against the city.

Inslee's Supreme Court Appointees are terrible across the board. Pretty much need to get outside the 9th Circuit to get a fair shot at anything close to justice.

I’m aware of the recent Seattle ordinances. That said, this proposal takes unconstitutional to a new level. It would be struck down if enacted imo.
