England's healthcare is a disaster. 4.41 million people on waiting lists for routine operations.

See our future if we let rats have control and go with their single payer model.

The picture of four-year-old Jack sleeping on a hospital floor despite having suspected pneumonia summed up in one image more than a million words or spreadsheets could ever do.

The hospital quickly admitted it was all true – little Jack had been left on a floor for four and a half hours and the Chief Executive had apologised personally to Jack’s mum. TRUE STORY.

That picture told how we have a 40,000 shortage of nurses, 4.41 million people stuck on waiting lists for routine operations, and hundreds of crumbling, unsafe hospitals. Our NHS staff are brilliant but they’re overstretched and under-resourced.

Tired of campaigning against Canadian healthcare? This is a nice variation.
I have multiple friends who have come down to the US from Canada for life saving procedures. You still want to tout Canadian healthcare?

Don't you always have "multiple examples" of some rare event?
Absolutely. Life is incredible right HH? In your world no one ever dies due to single payer healthcare. It goes against your mental utopia right?

People die due to healthcare under all healthcare systems. You really should get out more.

You feel free to ask Canadians whether they want to fix problems with their healthcare or adopt the American system. There is no groundswell to abandon their healthcare--except at Canadian RW websites. Every system in the world has issues, including but not limited to people living too fucking long.

Yes, those who are alive love the "free healthcare". Those who died from it not so much.

    Brilliant counselor, brilliant.

It's not Obamacare it's not single payer it's not national health because all those suck

Its wonder care and its free!

Single payer works reasonably well. The whole premise of this post was that someone (unidentified) had been praising British healthcare, which is single provider, not single payer as Atl maintained.

No one thinks any system is perfect and I've been totally in favor of putting the aged on ice floes at the point their care becomes too expensive, but apparently my old school sensibilities aren't mainstream.
Figures, your dad has lived too long an you're tired of him spending what you thought was going to be your inheritance.
Do you not know how this works? His care is barely costing him anything. The inheritance is modest, but growing.
Medicare doesn't cover everything. Do you know how it works? Must really piss you off that he hasn't died yet.
He was a public employee during the generous benefit, less generous pay days. He's not deficit spending.
So your dad is a leach living off the populace!

That was your whole rain for law school too stop this outrageous thought of pensions! Why haven't you had your father stripped of all benefits Saul?

So you are comparing single payer healthcare where those who need life saving care are in a waiting line to the care they receive in the USA that at least attempts to save their lives with medical attention?

You need to separate your politics from life saving humanity.

    The leftists don't know Jack.

Most know that single payer isn’t nationalized healthcare. Atl doesn’t.
Hey, dipshit, it is single payer in the UK. Which is exactly what I said in my original post. Educate yourself before you post, you are embarrassing yourself.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Single-payer_healthcare

A single-payer health system establishes one health risk pool consisting of the entire population of a geographic or political region. It also establishes one set of rules for services offered, reimbursement rates, drug prices, and minimum standards for required services.[9]

In wealthy nations, that kind of publicly managed insurance is typically extended to all citizens and legal residents. Examples include the United Kingdom's National Health Service, Australia's Medicare, Canada's Medicare, and Taiwan's National Health Insurance.

It actually fun to watch a rat try to defend single payer healthcare systems when clearly they don't work. The Canadians I know love their healthcare right up until they are seriously ill, then they leave to get life saving treatment down in the States.

Next HH is going to tell us how communism, fascism and socialism can work if it is just done right.

Also, European countries don't have single payer either.
