Then you look at Taylor Rapp and its just hard to understand how he passed up a chance to play in the Rose Bowl with his teammates.

I mean Clowney's made $22 million before 2019 and is making $16 million this season. I agree it's hard to understand Rapp sitting out if he truly could have played but these situations aren't apples to apples.

It is hard for a lot of old timers to accept this but the kids do not really care about bowl games. It’s playoffs or nothing. That became pretty clear last year.

Which is why I believe the playoff as it stands destroyed the sport. It feels like 90% of the teams play a season full of exhibition games.

To my eye it seems like the teams still ball out to try and win the conference regardless. Once eliminated from that it is about putting it on the tape for the nfl.

Also uw may have been more excited about the rose bowl if they hadn’t been to the playoff and fiesta bowl the preceding years. But cfb as I grew up with it is dead.

After watching that performance last year i determined i would never spend money on a bowl game unless it was the playoffs. I am not going to be invested if the players aren’t.
