Spending was goosed in the 2009 budget by over $600 Billion from the previous year. Part of this increase was due to what was supposed to be one time stimulus spending and TARP. Obama continued to spend at that inflated level as if TARP and stimulus spending were a part of every budget through out his Presidency, he even increased spending to nearly a full $trillion dollars more a year than what it had been just 8 years earlier his last year in office.
