When was Trump ever anything remotely resembling a fiscal conservative? He ran on cutting taxes and spending on infrastructure.

Wake me up when the demand for US debt and currency doesn't far exceed the supply.

If I understand the Hondobros correctly we have a deficit problem so we need to raise taxes and spend an additional 50 trillion. Seems like a winning formula.

Yeah? What would you cut though?

Trump was a fiscal conservative until January 17. And Trump sold that the tax cuts would increase revenue enough to pay for the infrastructure.

You again forget how Medicare for all would work. As always.

    https://www.washingtonpost.com/business/2019/10/25/us-deficit-hit-billion-marking-nearly-percent-increase-during-trump-era/

The U.S. deficit hit $984 billion in 2019, soaring during Trump era Spending increases, tax cuts, and political apathy fueled surge, and interest payments now near $400 billion

The country’s worsening fiscal picture runs in sharp contrast to President Trump’s campaign promise to eliminate the federal debt within eight years.

Promises made, promises kept. Oh wait...

    Nice crocodile tears as always.

Where were you on this issue prior to Jan '17? That's what I thought.
I was opposing tax cuts and happy to see modest tax increases enacted. Thanks for asking.
LOL! Oh and I am so sure you democrats would have spent less and paid down the debt right? LOL!
Maybe you gals can explain how one spends less while asking government to do more.
The first step is to neuter the public unions

    Amiright?
Cool. You saved what? $50 million? $100 million? Of the federal budget. Next idea to actually cut spending?
    Military, social security....
Agreed on military. Let's do it. How do you plan to cut social security when that's a large voter block?
When SS was started avg life expectancy was 58 and you didn’t start receiving benefits until 65. Now avg life expectancy is 79 and you can start receiving benefits at 62...

    Something needs to change...
It's funny, everyone likes to bitch about cutting spending. But no one really wants to do it. Even food stamps, many people on food stamps are Republican. Only thing I can think on SS is cutting benefits from people who have a lot of income.
    Raise the “retirement” age
Yeah and that's been done before.
yet the ratio of beneficiaries to covered workers continues to decline.
How long have you been a pedophile, @GDS?

It's called taxes that offset what people currently pay in premiums and out of pocket. Are you seriously that dumb?

I’m hearing it will be funded only by the 1% and “giant” corporations.

Are you seriously that dumb? Yes you are.

You hear wrong. First of all, you'll die in a bar afraid and alone before it ever gets passed. Secondly, most businesses will pay, an amount close to what most pay for insurance for employees anyway.

There is nowhere to collect 50 trillion in taxes and the capital would fly fly away if there was

Of course you could always use the threat of prison and death to keep people in line like every socialist country ever.

So lets see the math on how 50 trillion in additional spending will save us money

Congress from 17-18 was controlled by Republicans. Why didn't it happen then?

According to Mike that's happened since the IRS started. Where is the mass genocide you are predicting in the US?
