Every Bruin I've ever axed has said this. I've asked many old salty Bruins, who've taken that walk on the beach and have attained that elusive perspective, the following question: "Why, when you're both in LA, you have the better campus in the better location, and for most of history were the much better school (now just the better school), have you always been so far behind USC in football?"

Answer: they care, and we? don't. When people leave UCLA, it's just some place they went to school. When people leave USC, they maintain a connection to it forever, and the football program is a big part of that connection.
