Do snowboarders even understand what a gold medal means? Here's what a snowboarder says after placing..."it was sick' I'm so stoked, it was like sick and im sick and stoked, we should continue this Olympic thing...is this the first games? Did red bull put this thing on? I'm just so stoked...is this thing real gold?" The Olympic committee invited these disrespectful little bastard snowboarders into the club for ratings. And ruined the tradition and integrity of the games in the process
I remember when Woodinville was going to play Sumner in the State semi-finals at Pop Keeney Stadium. During pre-game warm-ups, Wedington was running around in street clothes but looked pretty healthy. I was talking with someone who shall remain nameless, and they said Wedington could have played but that he was "saving himself for Stanford".
There's a chance that it isn't true, but it did come from someone associated with Sumner. And I was like "bleh, Washington doesn't need that."
A Washington man would never sit out a big postseason game to save himself for the next level
Fozzy's Stanford commitment was a devastating blow at the time, although in hindsight a guy who was on UW sideline for 44-6 Stanford '16 and still committed to Stanford tells you all you need to know about how much of a bitch he kind is. He has been an injury bust thus far, although it looks like he's a go for Saturday. A podcaster last week said he'd be a 3 time starter and AA by now if he was at UW. Agree or disagree?
Wedington had the cringiest commitment video and seemed to flash potential before Joyner (RIP) knocked him out. Has he done anything of consequence for Stanford?
Copious classy coffee cups to whoever Coveys either of those two.
I never blame the kids. I agree with the post. Contradiction? I think not. Nothing is absolute.

It was evident to me based on his non-verbals on the sidelines of that game that:
- he was conflicted or - he was disappointed
but later on he did his visit to Stanford and did all that bonding with Walker Little etc ... he went Stanford. At the time it made sense given reports he had visions of Stanford since the 8th grade or something like that. Plus, his mom is Asian and during his formative years UW was relatively mediocre and Stanford was "intellectual brutality".
Then Stanford's Bloomgren went to Rice, they terminated Shannon Turley who ran the strength/conditioning at furd ... and now you're seeing a big downturn and "supplies!" Fozzy has been injured and not achieving his potential, yet.
