Trump “hereby ordered” and you snapped into duty. Here’s a personal reminder: if you can’t compete, trump cannot save you. Don’t believe me? Let’s wait for the markets weigh in. Sound good?HoustonHusky said:
Ok HondoFSJr...point out what a fucking moron you are and it must be because Trump told me to. BRILLIANT!!!CirrhosisDawg said:HoustonHusky said:
Yeah...you don’t like what Trump is doing so you think that we should sign a deal giving that authority permanently over to Canada, Peru, and a bunch of other people that don’t give a shit about us.CirrhosisDawg said:
Yeah, giving trump and Navarro tariff setting authority has worked out great. China will cave under trump’s force of will and taxes on US consumers. Any day now. Right after Christmas. Because MAGA.HoustonHusky said:
Nope. Now we have the right to sanction Chinese companies, set tariffs, etc. We would have given up a lot of that authority with TPP. Keep trying to spin a shit deal though...UW_Doog_Bot said:

Morons around here somehow think TPP wasn't designed for China trade into the US. Unicorns and rainbows...
And to at least fend of the first wave of stupidity that this poast will draw...I'd like to point out the 60% rule of TPP which said 60% of the VALUE of items for most goods could come outside of the TPP zone. So China could make 90% of the item and ship/sell it to a company in Canada for 50% of the final value of it, Canada could finish it/repackage it and send it to the US and it would be perfectly legal under the TPP. Not to mention all of the other loopholes that stupid agreement contained.
Its why Canada was so pissed about both TPP and the redoing of NAFTA.8199% of the terms of the TPP however we felt and other countries would have signed up for it. It was dumb to just give that away and then send all those countries to sign up for the Chinese development bank instead. Which we hilariously fund through low interest loans in the IMF and WTO.

So the markets now are your measure of whether Trump is doing the right thing or not? If so, by your own measure Trump has been killing it since he’s been elected. Killing it.CirrhosisDawg said:

Or are you just going to be the textbook definition of confirmation bias and look at every time they go down as self validation that you must be right and ignore the rest.

Can Trump ‘order’ companies to look ‘for an alternative to China’?

Keep the pressure on. Bleed them out
I can't find the clip - but an analyst on CNBC yesterday said that within 5 years there will be a massive shift in the form Chinese government - if not an outright overthrow of the Chicoms. Similar to when the wall came down. The Berlin Wall, not the Great one.
