Big difference between taking over a school where you were the OC and just maintaining.
Than it is taking over a new school as an OC.
Nuss would be a terrible hire. Anyone who is on board for Nuss deserves non stop 5-4 conference records.
How exactly would being a coordinator at the school before becoming the head coach impact whether or not someone is a good coach? Unless you're saying that circumstances can effect the success a coach has. In which case, 0-12.

It's much easier to run a well oiled machine where you keep your entire staff with you and you are familiar with the players than going off to another place where you have to establish yourself.
Keep thinking a coordinator straight to head coach for the same school is exactly the same as going to a different school.
Will Muschamp agrees with your line of thinking.
As for your examples? David Shaw didn't take over an offense that was well ran before he got there and they didn't have the best players on the field game in and game out.
Jimbo Fisher had been at LSU for 7 years under Saban and Miles then left for Bowden where he was being groomed the entire time to be the head coach.
So again his case is much different than Nuss. But please continue to plug your ears like Kim Grinolds and passive aggressively knock on anyone who knocks on Nuss without ever giving an opinion on Nuss.
