Bernie is a hypocrit now dealing with the effects of an arbitrary politically driven "minimum wage". The point is that forced minimum wages result in job loss. Simple fact. It's a bad idea as is the idea that every job has enough value to require a "living wage" to fill. Raising the minimum wage kills jobs that would otherwise provide the kind of basic skills people have traditionally used to subsequently improve their lot in life.

All minimum wages are idiotic. Making it illegal for people to work who aren’t worth the minimum wage is immoral.

Imagine agreeing to a salary and then bitching about an hourly wage.

So he basically told them they can’t work more than 40 hours a week so they would be at $15?

I’m trying to imagine a scenario when I was 24 when I was working tons of hours to gain experience and knowledge that would pay off big in the future, where I would bitch to my company that working overtime made my effective hourly rate too low. Bernie staffers should stay with him. They will get laughed out of the real world.

Imagine a young ambitious person on salary bitching about min wage. Oh, they aren’t ambitious. Fuck. 12 hour days at Microsoft in the 90s were considered half days.

I was against $15 an hour in Seattle for the reasons you and @Southerndawg have stated here. But it’s a high rent district up here and not a hill worth dying on. That said, $15 an hr in Topeka, KS is like $25 or $30 an hour is Seattle. It’s a ludicrous number for all but the 10 or so most expensive cities in the US.
