So very good. And the drama involved in getting it made and completed is reminiscent of the trials and tribulations of teen boi stalking

Never seen Apocalypse Now so I went with FREEDOM. I expect it's probably better than Braveheart though.

Nothing is better than Apocalypse Now. Nothing. One of the truly great pieces of American art.

Braveheart sucks ... not even close to the real story...

One of my history professors at UW went on an epic rant about how much he hated Braveheart. I still chuckle about it to this day.

Take Sophie Marceau and the mean king out of Braveheart and what do you have? Two plus hours of Mel Gibson preening and posing for the camera with the occasional primal shout/wail. Its shiite, like pretty much everything else hes done.

You also have the fag getting launched out the window. By the mean King true, but whatever.

There was some early shaking-and-about-to-vomit over that scene back in the day. Also pagans pissed about co-opting of their face paint or some shit. Mel can finger those triggers.

Apocalypto, Mel produced/directed, is very good.

That scene was awesome. The king was a bad dude.

I liked Braveheart for the same reason I like the D Day beach scenes.

As a soft fucking American boomer I like to imagine what it would be like to know you have an 81% chance of dying today in a horrible death and yet you get off the boat or charge the English bastards

Just to bring two topics together into one super post....Marlon Brando's Rolex GMT from Apoc Now is about to go up for auction. Wish I was rich like @thechatch

No idea what the auction estimate is but has to be north of a million.
