This thread has AIDS. Fuck off, wiggle arguers. Paopao is a fine coach, but on a scale of 1-10 as a recruiter he’s a fucking ZERO. Fire his fucking ass. We already have too many coaches who can’t recruit.

He landed the best tight end on West coast this year from SoCal. He's not a 0, no matter how much you want to believe so.
Well, in that case, perhaps we should be putting Garbers on staff then and rate him a 7/10 for recruiting prowress? ... and leave the development and coaching to PaoPao ...
Always an excuse when results fuck up the narrative.

He gets credit for Bryant who will be 3 and out. Otton who will be playing on Sunday. Culp is an explosive athlete with potential to develop. Kizer would start for most D1 programs, will probably play Sunday.

UW has suffered a season ending injury to a starting TE the past two years and the unit was still strong. That's quality depth.

Still trying to see how he sucks at recruiting.
Because Michael Neal, Jacob Kizer, and Devin Culp all suck. You guys are dooging so hard about our TE depth. It's not good. Kizer is useless as a receiver and having him on the field weakens our passing game. Culp can't block and his conditioning needs work.

Mark Redman is the only elite out-of-state TE he's ever recruited and he's been here for a decade. That means you suck at recruiting.
Kizer doesn't suck and Culp remains to be seen. I don't care what state the talent comes from. You seem obsessed with that. A player is a player.

Kizer is worthless as a receiver. That means he fucking sucks. If you're not a complete TE, you fucking suck. If we have to take a WR off the field to put any TE on the field, that fucking TE has to be a quality receiver as well or else the passing game is weakened. What the fuck don't you understand about that? Putting a guy on the field that can only block is not what anybody wants. It damn sure isn't what the coaches want. It only happens when recruiting wasn't good enough at the TE position.

I'm not obsessed with what state recruits come from. I'm proving a point. Getting in-state TE's to come here is not hard to do. That's doing the bare minimum. In a decade Paopao has only recruited one elite out-of-state TE and it's the one he has in this class.

BLAH BLAh BLah Blah blah. Are we winning games? Do our TE’s produce? Kizer has never been asked to catch a pass. That may change this season but he’s been a situational blocking end. All that matters is how good these kids end up being. I like Redman a lot but he hasn’t done shit.

Your glass appears to be half empty.

They NEVER throw him the ball because he's so fucking slow you idiot! Plus, he's not known for having soft hands either. Yeah he was a situational blocking kinda guy when we had Drew Sample you moron. But with Sample's departure, that bumps Kizer up the depth chart so now we have to rely on him more and he can't replace Sample because Sample was a complete TE who was criminally under used in the passing game.

Redman is way more talented than Kizer. It doesn't fucking matter that he hasn't done anything at UW yet! He's still in high school you moron. We're talking about recruiting. That would pertain to development and Redman will be an easy one to develop because he's an elite talent.

Your brain appears half empty you stupid fucking DOOG! LEAVE!

Drew Sample was pretty forgettable as a receiver, he averaged only 1.5 receptions per game across his career, but we know how that ended up. I don't see anything that indicates West can't at least be at this level in the passing game.

Hunter Bryant isn't a great blocker, probably more like average, does that mean he sucks too?

Doog rationale from a good poster.

Sample was under used because Brownsocks was too much of a pussy to throw the ball over the middle. The coaches only wanted him throwing it mostly outside the hash marks. Sample had more burst and speed on film than this West kid in high school so why the fuck would anybody think he can be the next Drew Sample? That's fucking stupid. You are ignoring facts to fit your doog narrative.

Bryant is a capable blocker and he also plays a different position in the offense that requires less blocking and more receiving anyways. That a really dumb counter argument.

It feels like you're trying to apply the BTE standard (quality receiver) to a pure WTE (quality blocker) recruit. Our WTE role is primarily a blocking role with passing upside.

No argument on the utilization factor for Sample, but the same argument applies to Kizer. Not saying he will end up being Sample, but he's nearly a Dissly-level blocker already.

I'm withholding judgement on West until I see senior film. He has barely played football and Biggins said he's taken a step forward this offseason (I know, that isn't much). If he sucks as a senior, I'm happy to eat crow.

Bryant can be a capable blocker, but he's below average in execution so far. His threat in the passing game more than makes up for this.

I disagree with your Culp bust projection. I think he's going to be damn good, but it will probably take another year or two.
