I am excited about this kid. Tough Dad's never breed pussies.
Then how do you explain the Baby Boomers coming after the Greatest Generation?
Talked with any fucking millennials lately?
Imagine how fucked up kids raised by millennial parents are going to be.
We will be socialist by then so nobody will much care in a workers paradise.
edit: I broke my own internal rule about keeping Tug shit out of the Truck Stop. FML. I will leave it up as a reminder to others to not be stupid, like me.
If he is half as tough as his dad he will bring a much needed attitude to the SQWAD
I’d like to officially welcome @creepycoug back on the bandwagon!
This is chintresting, so I'm going to bring a little Aberdeen knowledge to the table for ya.
It is a known fact among the parents of those my age about the Aberdeen Brueners - while they're all big, some were tuff, and some not-so-much. Mark's older brother Eric, RIP, was a contemporary of mine. Good guy, almost as big as Mark and not anywhere in the zip code of tuffness. Barely registered athletically and made no mark as a FB player. Sister Maria threw the shot put and discuss and so never mind there because NOFC, except to say, prom dates were hard to come by for her.
Dad, Fred, was big too, but by the accounts of many, very soft and whiny and entitled growing up, and as an adult was not super well liked by everybody in town. By Harb standards they had a little money and Daddy liked to play the role of Lord of the Manor. He used to MC the Ducks Unlimited annual fundraiser, and trust, you wanted to slit your wrists an hour into that thing listening to that guy.
Mark's uncle, however, was also big and was, again according the guys of that era, very really fucking Tuff and on the gridiron a flat-out meanie. Mark took after his uncle.
Now you've introduced three things that statistically tend to cut against Tuffness: (1) Mark's nice-looking wife and her entirely random ass gene pool; (2) Money; and (3) Redmond, Washington. I mean, nothing Tuff comes out of Redmond. If this kid were TUFF, he'd have "transferred" to Bothell like Colin Porter did.
I jest, but not entirely. Bruener was big and built well for TE, but he was great not because he was the most athletically gifted TE to play at Washington. I can think of three off the top of my head who were more athletically gifted (Pierce, Wroten and Stevens). He was great because, right out of the gates as an 18 year old kid on whom nobody was counting to contribute, he was fucking Fuff and mean and took shit off of nobody. You show me an 18 YO kid who went from playing at Stewart Field on "B" Street to playing in the Coliseum a few months later against SC with the best Washington team ever and pushing Willie McGinnest backward for getting in his face ... well, I'll show you a Tuff motherfucker. That he was.
Remains to be seen what junior will become. You don't know until you know. People knew Mark was scary on the field in HS. He fucking dominated probably the greatest collection of HS talent in this state's history at the East West game. Absolutely blew people up and stepped on their throats. Would've been a great Cane.

7-11 bitch
Boomers are far tuffer than anything that has followed. We had dads that were too busy drowning their memories of combat at the bottom of a bottle of whiskey to care about us other than smacking us around and predicting we would dig ditches for a living

Haha, gold reply. A generation that inherited a country made of marble and left it one of rust. Easily, inarguably, without question the worst generation in US history.

Make your own way
Raising kids... who are going to be fucked up.
The inability to take responsibility for their own shitty decisions is one of the reasons they are deep in debt and living with their parents
I understand.
My post was in the spirit of the others
Just messing around
They wont mind they're dead
Afghanistan in the winter, with the same set up, was ok.
