Eklund thinks we're gonna go after Alphonse Oywak from Kentwood as the Covington replacement. He's a low 3-star with shit offers who is committed to Arizona. He's fine but what a depressing DB class that would make.

I think Oywak is a classic late bloomer ala Joe Tryon. He’s going to be good.

All that being said I’d still much rather have Covington.
    Tryon's good?
He sucks at contain. Otherwise he's pretty good and getting better, yes.

With the up and down play of Taylor and Molden this year I think there's a good chance both of them come back. We may only lose Bryant and a transfer (Gilchrist or Cook most likely) so we might not even have to get another DB in this class.

It will never happen, but I would love a Juco LB.
    Is Tennessee a juco now?
Season 5 of Last Chance U. It’s titled “before juco.”

He’s getting a bump by the recruiting nubs because they know he’s receiving more interest from “better” schools than his previous rating

Dom Hampton had pretty much the same scholarship offer list in the end that he had when he committed to UW. Oregon offered him late but that was it

Washington and Oregon are better offers than what Olwak has right now.

He was always pretty good. Not much of a drop from Jacobe IMO.

Good decision by the kid, why play in defense where you have to cover up for deficiencies at LB

    You are being too kind.

What "top 25 team" covers up a complete lack of linebacking by only playing 1 at a time?

    That's some laughingstock shit.

That's like good looking male model with one arm and no dick. Like what the fuck.

This kid has a weird hudl. His highlights are all when he's defending short throws and he starts the play lined up 10 yards off the ball. You never really see him backpedal let alone backpedal and then flip his hips to run with a receiver on a deep route. That being said, he drives on the ball and looks like a willing tackler. He flashes athleticism and looks like he has a long frame. Without seeing some more tape of his hips(not joking here) it's hard to say for sure what I think but, right now, I like all the guys we currently have signed better than this guy.

ASU not looking so hot anymore, funny how recruiting works.

    ASU looses 2-3 more games

The week to week stuff isn’t as important as some think.

It’s pretty easy for UW to sell being one to two players away from turning those close losses into wins. Obviously winning is most important, but there are all sorts of ways to spin things to paint yourself in a better light to recruits.

One of the main reasons he decommitted was because ASU was 5-1 and herm had things turned around. Two weeks later they are 5-3 and there defense looks terrible.
What about academics? Is he even in track it make it in?

Here’s your two. Add these players and it doesn’t matter what the offense has done, UW is undefeated.
Bolton and Weaver too. Basically anyone with the ability to be an average LB and we’re beating Oregon and Cal.
Also sounds like Ben Wilson is looking pretty good for TCU. The shit went flying when we offered that guy.

At some point, there are programs where their defenses are good pretty much every year that basically results in offers from those schools meaning you can play

I recall we didn't offer him til late in the process because we already had Sirmon. If he indeed is looking good at TCU, that's another evaluation fail from Gregory.
