Love Crystalball or hate him, he’s the only coach in the West who gets recruiting right now.

Howard Slusher was the agent for Gus Williams when he sat out a year to get a contract upgrade after the Sonics won the titleanimate said:Wait... There's a kid name Slusher!?
Slusher would become Phil Knights fixer. Our company owner negotiated with him for work on the Nike Campus over the years

The current dispute may prompt a sense of deja vu.
It's reminiscent of the legal donnybrook that broke out in 1991, when construction was wrapping up on the first phase of Nike's corporate campus. Then, as now, contractors complained the company altered designs and demanded that subcontractors do additional work for little, if any, additional compensation.
Contractors by the dozen filed construction liens and lawsuits. Much of their ire was focused on Howard Slusher, the fiery former sports agent Nike had installed as project manager.
Two decades later, as it launched this expansion, Nike brought Slusher out of retirement to again serve as the company's point man. -
Well that LSU commitment didn't last long.

Crystoball gets it. Recruiting can hide a lot of your deficiencies as a coach. So he gets after it. Wish pete fucking get that through his fucking head.

My recruiting report from the Oregon spring game: many athletic boys were there with their families.
DJ Ukulele has to be about 6'6" 250-60ish. He looks older than Mariota. His 8th grade brother looks like a veteran NFL DE. I'll be sure to follow their careers at Clemson.
I sat right behind the home sideline, next to the roped off pen for the recruits, and by a bunch of player families. A lot of effort was put into those recruits. If you wanted to meet a Heisman trophy winner or an NFL journeyman running back you were in luck.
Announced attendance was 35k, but it was probably 10k fewer than that. Probably the same amount of people Oregon State gets for a conference home game. Some F-15s flew over, which impressed me because I like fast things and loud noises.
By the end I wanted to commit to Coach Cristalball and flex on Fridays. -

The 247 Quook Honk just Cristoballed Jay Butterfield to Oregon. Between that and the 2020 preseason Heisman hype machine heating up for Tyler Shough, it's time to officially congratulate Clempson on landing DJ Ukelele.
